=Flashback=

"Hi! My name is Wendy. What's yours?"

That was random. I was doing my own things and she suddenly interrupted me.

"Oh. Hi, I'm Harley."

"Harley? As in Harley Quinn?! I love her, oh my god, I love your name."

I lightly laughed just to entertain her. "Thanks."

She kept quiet suddenly and I continued using my phone.

"You know, I just lost my dog recently. Its name was Harley."

So, you're implying I'm a dead dog now? "I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's okay. I just missed it suddenly."

I did not raise my head to look at her and continued to use my phone. I was starting to put my guard up, like what Clark had suggested me to do when engaging with weird people. "I see."

"Do you mind me as a friend?"

I continued messaging. "Nope, not at all."

"So, what do you think we should eat for lunch today?" Her tone cheerful.

"I'll decide when I see the menu later."

She sighed. "Don't you find the prices high?"

"Nope." I made sure she specifically heard the pop sound at the end of the word.

"Well, I do."

"I can tell."

"Why does this class has 35 students? Other classes only have 30."

Okay. Enough. I had enough of this nonsense. "Wendy, why are you trying so hard to be a friend? Are you having any intentions?"

She jumped a little when my tone changed. She seemed to be panicking. "I just want a friend in school."

Now I felt guilty for accusing her. "I apologise for my rude behaviour."

=End of Flashback=

Don't trust her? What does Glenn even know about Wendy? Today was the first time they met.

It was lunch time now. Wendy pulled Zen and me together for lunch. The both of us treated as if nothing happened and talked as usual.

We don't intend to tell Wendy what had happened between us, including Glenn and my engagement drama. The real story of the engagement was still not told to Zen. I guessed I should hide it from Zen as well.

"So, tell me, anything interesting happened during my absence?" Wendy asked with too much enthusiasm, till a small tiny guilt started forming inside of me.

I looked at Zen and he looked back. I was speechless long ago, since the time she started shouting Harley Quinn this morning. Zen closed his eyes and started laughing to himself. He came out with a story which did not even happened during her period of absence. I was quite amazed, exaggerating the story with him.

"Oh my, I can't believe I missed everything. I would love to see Zen wearing a shrink-up top. With that, you will look decent and naked at the same time!" Wendy continued laughing at her own imagination.

Zen added, "If only you saw how Harley looked after a night of drinking. Her hair was a masterpiece done by Vincent van Gogh. You would laugh your ass off."

I replied him, "It was indeed a masterpiece. I woke up wondering why I looked so beautiful with a neither win nor lose tic tac toe on my face." I laughed, not because it was funny but it's the fact that it did not even happen.

Wendy lost it and laughed till tears flowed. There was like a sense of accomplishment when you managed to make a friend laugh. Then why did Glenn ask me not to trust Wendy?
