Glenn was looking at the framed-up photos of my younger self. His hands in the back pocket of his jeans, his side view mesmerising, killing me softly inside.

"You're so cute when you're younger." He turned back to face me, making me jump on the sudden move. I gazed at him as he walked towards me, wondering if I should tell him about Wendy.

He embraced me tightly. "I missed you, my dear. But the main point is I'm here for a sleepover, I got permission from Clark."

I pushed him away, astonished by his words. I was still within his hold. "What? He gave you permission?" What was Clark even thinking?

"Yep. I wanted to talk to you but he said it was late so he asked me to stay."

"In the same room as me?"

"To be honest, not in the same room. But can't I?" He pleaded with puppy eyes which I have never possibly imagined he would make.

I groaned. "Whatever." He laughed.

He held my hand and pulled me with him. "Let's talk on the bed." I was reluctant but I was craving for the comfort of my bed. He lied down on one side and faced me with his hand supporting his head.

I hugged my bolster and stare at the ceiling, refusing to look at him. "Let me first ask you. Why did you ask me not to trust Wendy?"

There was a moment of silence before he spoke. "That was what I actually came for. I don't want to ruin your friendship with her but something is telling me that she will ruin things for you in future."

"Can you give me an example? Clark said the same thing, asking me to beware of her. I didn't ask why because I know he won't say it."

"So, he realises it too. I can't give you an example now. When it happens, I will tell you."

Sad to say, she's already trying to get close to you.

I closed my eyes, rejecting the idea to make further guesses. "Sure. I guess that's it for the night. Time to sleep." I switched off the only side table light left on.

"Only after this." He dragged me across the space between us and I hit him with my back. He wrapped his arms around my waist. "Goodnight, Harley." I heard the smile.

"Pfft. Goodnight, Glenn." I purposely said it in an annoyed tone but I was happy to be in his hold for the night.

I woke up in the middle of the night, realising that I had already rolled away from Glenn's hold.

My eyes had adjusted to the darkness and I could see Glenn's features clearly. I reached for his face and lightly brushed it with my fingers. His sleeping look drew me in.

I skimmed his cheeks with my thumb and sighed. "If only I can tell you that Wendy is going to go for you. She had just decided to give up on Zen and she is going to talk to you tomorrow. She can't know that the both of you are going for me. Worse still, she is aiming for my fiancé. What am I to do with you..."

"You are to trust me no matter what because I only love you alone."

Glenn's sudden reply made me jump. I removed my hand from his face but he caught it in time and held it between us.

"You were awake the whole time?!" A small anger sparked in me.

"I wasn't until you touched my face. I didn't want to scare you so I kept my eyes closed."

I was embarrassed for what I have done, the temptation to smack myself was overwhelming everything else. Glenn pulled me into his arms.

"Silly girl. None of the female charms has ever caught my attention. You are the first and the last." He kissed my head. "And I didn't know you already treated me as your fiancé." He chuckled.

I hit him. "Don't even think about it."

"But I want to, you can't stop me." He laughed.

"Keep your volume down, you idiot."

"Ouch, that word hurts."

"But you'll still love me." I playfully replied.

He pushed me back and looked directly at me. "Till the end of my life."
