--5 years later--
Hayley's POV
I sat beside Elijah's coffin, the cure in my hands. It took one hell of a fight to get, but it was worth it. These past few years had flown by, and Hope was now walking and talking. Elisa was right about one thing, I'd always have her. At times like this, I reflected on our time together, and it made me sad that she wasn't here anymore, but she still made an imprint on my heart. Kol was going to be heartbroken when he found out.
I gave each of them the cure, then waited for them to awake.
Suddenly, one by one, they each sat up, looking around. Elijah's eyes landed on my own and he smiled. "You did it" he said, causing me to smile. I nodded my head and helped each of them out of their coffin.
"Before I leave this bloody lorry, how long were we asleep for?" Rebekah asked. "5 years" I told her. Honestly, it had been quiet without each of them around.
Kol stood up and looked around. "Where's Elisa?"
My heart started thudding as I realised it was time to tell him the truth. "Kol, you might want to prepare yourself for what I'm about to tell you" I began, watching as he stood in front of me, fear in his eyes. "What happened to her?"
I led him out the lorry and out into the open air. "Elisa was bitten by Marcel, Kol. She didn't want to tell you and hurt you so she left. When you got attacked, she came back because she was scared she'd lose you. When Freya castes her spell, Elisa wasn't part of it" I watched his face begin to pale and his breathing increase. "She died, Kol".
I watched as he fell to the floor in shock. "No, please god no" he mumbled under his breath, tears running down his cheeks. I kneeled beside him and hugged him tightly. "It's okay, Kol. You're going to be okay".
"Mom?" We all turned to see Hope standing there staring at us. I stood up and walked over to her.
"Hope, this is your Uncle Elijah, your Uncle Kol, your Auntie Rebekah, and your Auntie Freya".
They each hugged her and admired how much she'd grown. She spoke to each of them, and seemed so full of joy to have her family back. "Shall we complete our family then?" Freya asked me. I nodded my head and headed to the front of the lorry. "Mom?" I turned and faced Hope, bending down in front of her.
"Are we going to get my dad?" She asked curiously. I pushed some hair out of her face and smiled. "Yes sweetie. I promise".
Unknown's POV
I watched as the Mikaelson's reunited from behind a tree. I saw Hayley let them free and Kol's breakdown. As much as I wanted to go over and meet them, I knew I had to stick to the plan. They couldn't know about me yet.
Watching them drive off, I already knew where they were heading. New Orleans.
They were obviously heading to Klaus and Marcel, so I would be right behind them. I quickly got into my car and sped off behind them.
This was going to be a long drive.
Kol's POV
I sat in silence thinking of Elisa. It hurt that she lied to me, but I also kind of understood her reasons for doing so. I honestly didn't know how I'd live without her.
"Uncle Kol?" I turned to face Hope, smiling. "What is it, darling?"
"Aunt Elisa told me to tell you something before she died". I shifted my body so she was on my lap and looked at her sweetly. "What did she say?"
"She said that she loves you and that she will find you" I felt my heart crack open for the thousandth time. God I needed her here now. Hope rubbed my cheek and grinned. "She was the best Aunt ever" she giggled.
Rebekah came over and picked her up before she could say anything else. "Sounds like I've got competition then, doesn't it?" She smiled, putting Hope on her lap. I smirked a little and then sighed. I'm glad I had my family, but what I really wanted right now was Elisa.
I don't know how I'm going to cope without her.
