Kol's POV

I woke up with a smile on my face. Last night was possibly the best night of my existence. Elisa made me feel alive again and made me feel like a better person. I placed my hand beside me to find empty sheets. Sitting up, I looked and found a note on the pillow. Opening it, I saw the handwriting was Elisa's.

Hey babe,
Gone out for a walk around New Orleans. Freya needs some ingredients.

Thank you for last night. It was amazing.

Love, your Elisa x

I smiled and put the note down, getting out of bed. I got changed and headed to the courtyard, passing a smirking Klaus on the way. "Sounds like you had a fun time last night, Kol" he winked and I rolled my eyes laughing. There are times I wish vampires didn't have intense hearing.

Grabbing a bloodbag, I headed down to the courtyard and sat on one of the sofas. Hope entered and sat next to me, resting her head on my leg.

"Aunt Elisa looked beautiful last night" she said, and I felt her smile. "Yes she did, sweetie. But I must say that you looked like a glorious princess" I began tickling her and she laughed and struggled against my grip.

Hearing footsteps approach, I looked up and saw Elisa towering above us grinning. "Kol, stop bullying Hope" she joked before picking up the little girl.

Hope stuck her tongue out at me and I returned the gesture, before standing and kissing Elisa. "How was your trip out?"

"It was good. I met some witches and made some friends. Also there's a witch starting up a coven. She invited me to join" Elisa smiled, obviously excited that she could find new ways of practicing magic.

"That's great darling" I said. I grabbed her hand and bent down quickly towards Hope. "Is everything set up?" She nodded before slipping away.

"Is what ready?" I grinned and led Elisa out into the dining room.

Elisa's POV

I looked around speechless. There were candles everywhere and lunch was set out in the middle of the table. I looked at Kol and saw him smiling at me before leading me further into the room. "How did you manage this?" I asked.

"Elijah and Hayley did it whilst you were out. I asked them last night" he smirked before pulling a chair out and gesturing for me to sit.

I dis so, letting him push the chair in afterwards and watched as he sat next to me. We spoke about lots of things, but the lunch was mainly Kol joking around.

"Come on, Elisa I won't argue with you" he groaned. "Well I'm not backing down. The dress is black and blue!" We laughed at our childishness and messed with each other, enjoying each other's company.

"Elisa, I have something to ask you" Kol said, his tone changing to serious. Confusion filled my head, making me worried about what he was going to say.

Suddenly, he stood up and moved next to me, getting down on one knee. I felt my breathing hitch in the back of my throat.

"Elisa Jones. Over 1ooo years ago, I met and fell for you and never got this opportunity. Now I am back with you again, and this time I plan on staying with you, I want to ask this question before something risks jeopardising our relationship. So, Elisa Jones, would you do me the honour of becoming my girlfriend?"

I felt a tear rolled down my cheek as my heartbeat increased rapidly. "Yes, Kol Mikaelson. I will do you the honour".

He stood up and offered me his hand, which I accepted happily before jumping into his arms. He held me close to him and I felt like I was in heaven.

Suddenly, the moment was ruined by Klaus bursting through the door. "Well now you two are official, we've got work to do" he said before rushing away.

I rolled my eyes and giggled. "No rest for the Mikaelson family".

Kol smiled and kissed me before leading me to where Klaus was.

Unknown's POV

I watched as the black liquid in the cauldron bubbled, finishing my spell off. He was with her right now, I was certain of that. I had to find a way to destroy her.

A doll floated to the top of the liquid, showing my spell was complete. Now all I needed was an item linked to either one of them to complete everything. Then, I would be unstoppable.

After hiding the doll underneath a jacket in my hotel room, I began cleaning up my ingredients. Suddenly, I felt a whoosh behind me, meaning one of the ancestors were there.

"How is the plan going?" A female asked. "The doll is complete. Now I need an item to link it to a person" I said, turning to face the spirit.

"I can help you find one. No one else will see me, only you" she replied before looking at a piece of paper. "Why do you have this spell? This is extremely dangerous" she looked at me confused. "I agreed to the ancestors plan after they returned because I felt it was right. Elisa is dangerous and impossible. She needs to die, and I need to speak to Kol without her being around" I told her. "Besides, how do you know so much about her, or how I can find an item linked to her?"

The spirit stepped forward, a serious expression on its face. "I'm her mother. I know everything about her and it was me who brought the ancestors back. We've been living in the shadows for too long. It's time to fight. We got lucky with Freya's spell. It was our loophole to push you through. And now you're alive, we can be the superior species. Don't let feelings get involved, just help us to destroy Elisa for good so she can never return to this world".

I realised what she meant and approached her curiously. "You're going to use the life blood stone? The one you use to destroy witches?"

Elisa's mother remained silent but sighed. "It is the only way. She's already marked. Like I said, I can guide you until Elisa is dead. Then after that she's our problem. You can be free".

I nodded my head and grabbed my phone. "In that case we best go and get searching. Her mother smiled before following me out of the room.
