Kol's POV

I woke up and saw the sun creeping through the windows. The New Orleans breeze flowed through the room and the sounds of the streets below travelled with it. I stretched my arms and found that there was something next to me. Looking over, I saw Elisa fast asleep, her body facing away from me and her hair covering up her face.

Smiling, I leaned over, wrapping my arm around her figure. She shifted beneath me and then I felt her hand cling onto my arm tightly, almost as if she was scared to let go. Her head moved round and her eyes fluttered open, a smile breaking onto her face.

"Hi" she mumbled, her voice sounding sleepy. "Good morning, sweetheart" I replied before kissing her lips. Catching her by surprise, I started tickling her hips, causing her to try and escape from my grasp.

"Kol S..stop ple...please" she managed to say through giggles. I shook my head and grabbed both her hands, pinning them above her head so she couldn't escape. "Not until you say Kol is the sexiest vampire I know and I love him loads". I smirked at her, seeing she was struggling underneath me and trying to overpower me.

She didn't say anything for a while but as I tickled her more and more, eventually she gave in. "Fine Kol is the sexiest vampire I know and I love him".

I let her go and rolled over onto my back, Elisa's arm wrapping around my stomach and a sigh leaving her lips.

She was about to say something but was interrupted by the door swinging open and Klaus walking in.

"Next time knock Nick. Do you not know the meaning of privacy?" I glared at him, making him realise he'd ruined the moment. However, instead of leaving politely like I wanted him to, he stood there staring at us.

"Well you two lovebirds seem awfully happy together and as much as I would hate to ruin this we need to cut it short today seen as we have a slight issue in the form of Marcel". Elisa sat up in curiosity.

"How is Marcel a threat? He was so nice to me before?" She asked.

"Let's just say a guy we battled, Lucien, Marcel now has his blood and there's a prophecy saying he will drink it and become the most lethal creature existing" Klaus sounded genuinely worried about this, meaning it was extremely serious seen as we usually feared no one.

"So what do we do, brother?" I stood up out of bed and in front of him, feeling that a fight would be brewing.

"Elijah and I shall speak with him tonight at the bridge, see if we can reason with him. If not, then we may have to prepare for our downfall" he replied, before leaving the room quickly.

I turned to face Elisa, who was deep in thought. I laid down next to her and smiled up at her. "Always so much drama as a Mikaelson" I said jokingly, however she didn't react.

"I'm going to speak to Marcel" Elisa whispered, before getting off the bed and getting changed. "Are you insane, sweetheart?" I followed her, completely shocked by her plan to go to him. "He won't hurt me, Kol. I am more likely to make him reason with us unlike your brothers. He's my friend" she said, putting on a top and a pair of jeans.

"You're linked to the Mikaelson's, Elisa. Marcel will not hesitate to hurt you now. He will use you to get to me, seen as I killed Davina" I told her, grabbing her by the shoulders and spinning her round to face me. She looked at me and sighed.

"Look Kol, you need to trust me. Your brothers won't help the situation. They'll make it worse. I have to be the one to try and get this blood off him. He'll listen to me" she caressed my cheek and looked at me like she was pleading for me to let her go. "Please" she whispered.

Slowly, I let her go, kissing he forehead and then her lips. "Be careful, okay?" I said worriedly. She nodded her head before leaving the room and heading to Marcel's.

I quickly changed and headed to see Klaus. "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" I asked, feeling angry.

"She's the only one he'll pay attention to. She reminds him of Davina. She's our only hope of breaking him. That's why she had to go before us" he said, facing me. "She's strong, Kol. He won't hurt her, I can assure you of that. He'd be as bad as you if he did that" Klaus grabbed my shoulder in reassurance before leaving me to my own thoughts.

She can take care of herself. He won't hurt her. She'll be back soon safely, I said to myself over and over again. However, I couldn't bring myself to believe it. I could sense something bad was going to happen.

Hayley walked in holding Hope, obviously aware of what was happening. "How can I know she'll be okay, Hayley? How do I know he won't use her to hurt me?" I asked, my back to her.

"You don't, Kol. You have to have faith that she knows what she's doing and can help this situation. She's been without you for years and she survived fine. I think she can cope with a couple of hours without you there. Just trust her".

I wanted to deny it, but she was right. I had to trust Elisa. She knew what she was doing. She was powerful, and courageous. She'd be fine and come back unharmed with the blood. At least I could hope she would.
