Elisa's POV
Blood trickled down my face as I used all my energy, as well as Freya's, to battle Davina. My eyes were blurry and I could tell she was struggling to continue. "It's no use. We can't fight them. We need more strength" Freya shouted.
The walls of the courtyard began crumbling as we fought, and I could see my mother smiling widely. A small hand grabbed mine and Freya's, and I looked to see Hope staring up at me. "No, you can't Hope. It's too dangerous" I said, scared she'd get hurt.
"Trust me. We can do this" she screamed, looking at Davina and closing her eyes. I felt our power grow stronger and saw my mothers face fall. Before any of us could react, our magic caused us both to be flown back, breaking our focus.
I fell into a wall and heard a loud snap, before falling to the floor in immense pain. Managing to turn on my side, I saw Davina knocked out on the floor and Freya starting to stand, grabbing a flower from her pocket and beginning to chant. It must've been the dark object that Davina used to control Kol. Hope joined Freya and took her hand, helping her complete the undoing of the spell, a cut on her forehead but she looked fine.
Suddenly, a shadow towered over me, and I looked up to see my mother smiling. "You will join me soon, my child. And I will end you and make it the most painful experience of your life. Davina was just a puppet for us, but you, your magic will return us to flesh and bone".
Rosetta looked and saw a pipe sticking out of the wall beside my body. She walked towards it and forced it out of the wall. "Davina over there is collateral damage, easily replaceable. Plus, it's not like she's going to live after I'm through with her. But you, you have the power to resurrect thousands, however the ancestors can't do that until you are destroyed".
She raised the pipe above her head with the point aimed at my heart. "They do say, if you want a job done you have to do it yourself". I shut my eyes and prepared for the impact, feeling it approach my chest.
However, it never came. Opening my eyes, I saw my mothers face pale as she froze in place, blood spitting out of her mouth.
Looking behind her, I saw Davina stood there, her hand raised. "You said to me you'd let me be with Kol you monster. You promised me I'd live! You are a liar, and I'm done following your rules!" I watched as my mother turned to face her, her body crippling.
"Elisa!" I looked and saw Freya had the dagger, which she threw towards me. I shuffled my body over, trying to reach for it. My back had completely broken, and I felt pain travel through my veins as blood began trickling out my mouth. Grabbing it, I aimed it upwards and threw it, watching as it stabbed into my mother.
Davina stepped back as she watched her fall to the ground, her body lighting up.
"No, my fellow witches! Fight it! No!"
The ground around her cracked wide open as a wave of power left her. My mother let out one more scream, before she blew up into ash.
I let out a breath and looked at Davina, who collapsed on the floor. "I'm sorry" she whispered.
"I smiled at her and watched as she slowly faded into nothing.
"Elisa!" Klaus and Elijah approached me, examining my back. More blood spat out my mouth as I began struggling to breathe. "Her vampirism is trying to heal her but it's not quick enough. It's a miracle she's still alive" Freya said, walking over.
"Wh....where's Kol?" I whispered. On cue, I saw him stumble into the courtyard, holding his neck. His eyes laid on me and his mouth dropped open. "No".
Speeding over, he was beside me in a blink, my head in his lap. "I'm so sorry, Elisa. I can't believe this has happened. I didn't know what I was doing. Davina, she--". I put my finger to his lips, hushing him. "It's okay, I forgive you".
I stared into his eyes, which were full of tears. "At least I got to see you one more time" I whispered. "No. We're going to fix you. You're going to be okay" he grabbed my face and kissed my forehead, before colliding with my lips.
I smiled up at him, feeling darkness beginning to fill my eyes. "I love you".
My eyes shut and I felt my body turn cold.
Kol's POV
Elisa's body began to desecrate and I watched as her face turned grey. "No. Elisa come back. I love you too, and I can't lose you... please".
Grabbing her corpse, I held her tightly in my arms, scared to let go. "Kol?" Klaus said, trying to make me let go.
"No! She can't be dead. No..." I shouted, unable to hold the tears back. My whole life had fallen apart.
"We might be able to consecrate her still, but we need to do it fast, before her power flows out of her" Freya said to Klaus.
"Rebekah bent down she she was level with me. "Kol, let us do this for her. The ancestors are gone now, so she will be safe, and we can try and bring her back".
I looked at her and reluctantly let her go, observing her face and it's beauty.
Freya bent down and began, inviting Hope over. "Let me teach you this, Hope".
She walked Hope through the spell until it was complete. "Why is Hope doing this?" Elijah asked curiously.
"She'll get to see her aunt briefly once she's consecrated, and will get to say a better goodbye" Freya told us.
We watched as Hope completed the spell and shut her eyes, standing and turning to look behind us. "Aunt Elisa!" She said before skipping over to a corner of the courtyard.
Hope's POV
She looked so much better, and so beautiful. "Hi Little Duck". She bent down and smiled. "Look we don't have long so I have a few things to say before I go".
I went to touch her face but felt nothing. "Are you a ghost?" I asked. She looked down and sighed. "Yes I am. Look, you need to be strong right now for the rest of your family, Hope. You are so brave and strong, and you're going to be amazing. I will always watch over all of you and I know you will stick together and help each other through everything".
She stood up and began to walk away before stopping. "Can you do me a favour?"
I nodded my head and smiled.
Kol's POV
Hope waved towards the exit and ran over to us. "What happened, sweetie?" Hayley asked her. Hope smiled at us widely. "She said she wants us to stick together and that she'll watch over us always".
Hope then approached me, and I bent down to her level. "She asked me to do something". I nodded my head, and she approached my cheek and kissed it, before leaning in to my ear.
"Thank you for always catching me" she whispered before walking to Hayley.
The tears continued flowing down my face at this, as I thought of all the times she'd save me and I'd saved her.
That's when I realised that she wasn't just my soulmate.
She was my angel, who saw I was in a dark place and dragged me out of it.
