Hayley's POV

I walked round the outskirts of the town, thinking about everything going on. Mine and Elijah's relationship had become so much stronger now, and Hope was a beautiful little girl who and a proper family, Kol and Elisa were together and happy finally. Everything seemed almost too perfect for this family.

I walked along a dirt track that headed towards the wood. The temptation to hunt right now was very strong, and I felt my vampire instincts take over. I breathed in a focused my sense on any signs of life. However, instead my senses were filled with the smell of gas and smoke. Curious, I rushed towards the scent, wondering if someone was hurt.

At the edge of the road a car had crashed into a tree, with the windows completely shattered. Smoke was coming out of the front of it, and I could just make out an outline of someone.

Cautiously, I approached the front of the car, trying not to make a sound in case the person was conscious. Looking in the window, I looked at the persons face.

My hands flew over my mouth as pure shock filled my body. I completely froze as a tear fell down my cheek.

"Elisa?"

I contacted everyone and told them to get to the hospital urgently. Standing beside Elisa, I watched as she lay sleeping.

Klaus arrived with Hope first. "What happened?"

"I found her on the outskirts. She was bleeding badly and there's something wrong with her". I lifted up her wrist which had an open wound in it. "Klaus she's not healing".

He took her hand and examined the wound carefully, before putting it down and looking at me angrily. "She's been hexed to die".

Suddenly, he pulled the wires that were attached to Elisa off and picked up her limp body. "We need to get her out of here. I'll take her home and see what I can do. Can you compel her nurse?"

I nodded my head and grabbed Hope, watching as he zoomed out of the building.

"Mum, is she going to be okay?" Hope clung onto my hand tightly, and I looked down at her sympathetically.

"I don't know, sweetie".

Klaus' POV

I carried Elisa into the courtyard and laid her down on the outdoor sofa. Her face was pale and her breathing was staggered. I bit my wrist and put it to her mouth, letting her drink my blood. Slowly, colour rose to her cheeks, and her eyes flew open.

"Klaus? Where am I?" She asked weakly.

"Your home, Elisa. You're at the mansion" I smiled, but suddenly she jumped up in fear.

"No. I can't be here. Why would you bring me back? I need to leave this place!" Elise started running out but I grabbed her and held her in place.

"Why? What's wrong?" I looked in her eyes and saw fear, a fear that I'd never seen before.

"Kol... he chose Davina over me. I can't watch him and her together. He seemed so happy when he said her name, and told me he never cared about me" tears flowed out of her eyes as she collapsed in my eyes.

That stupid brother of mine. How could he let Davina back into our lives after everything?! Rage coursed through me as I looked at the broken girl in my arms. I placed her down on the sofa again and rushed to find my brother.

"Kol?! Answer me you pathetic swine!!" I shouted through the house.

"Now Nik language like that is unnecessary. Honestly what is the point of this shouting?" Kol answered, walking towards me.

However, before he could react, I pinned him to the wall and bared my teeth. "How dare you disrespect Elisa!!" I glared at him, watching a smile on his face.

"She was nothing to me, Nik. Just a stray cat on the street who needed attention. Besides, I have a better person in my life now".

I felt a presence walk into the room, and I looked to see Davina in the doorway.

"Hello, Klaus. Now why do you have my boyfriend pinned up against the wall?" She smirked and I realised that something had to be going on here.

Elisa being hexed, Kol's sudden lack of care for her and his sudden list for Davina.... something wasn't right.

I let my brother go and glared at the, both. "This isn't over" I growled before returning to Elisa.

When I returned to her side, I saw her hunched over and coughing violently. I lifted her up and saw my blood on the floor and a trail of it leaving her mouth. "I.... c...can't be...healed" her eyes then closed and she fell unconscious again.

Realising she wasn't safe with Davina around, I picked her up and took her to my old enemy Lucien's place. Or as it was now know to us as the safe house.

"Klaus what is going on?" Freya asked. I gathered the rest of my family at the apartment and let them gaze upon the weak Elisa. "Davina has hexed Elisa and has done something to Kol's mind. We need to break the spell on our brother and find a way to help Elisa survive".

"How has Davina managed to get into Kol's head?" Elijah asked. Freya looked down in thought and then a flash of recognition flushed over her.

"A mind wipe spell" she said. Shock hit all of us. I have only seen this kind of spell once and it doesn't always turn out well.

"Umm anyone care to elaborate on what that is?" Hayley asked.

"It's a spell where a witch channels an object then links it to a person. The object has to stay near the person it links to or else the bond breaks until they're close again. Basically it wipes emotions, memories, anything" Freya explained.

"Davina's wiped Kol's emotions, but I think it won't be long before she rids Elisa from his mind completely" I told them all.

"But how do we break it and fix him and her?" Rebekah asked.

"We need to kill Davina. But she's linked to the ancestors and their plan to kill Elisa is still on the cards. We need to find a way to wipe them all out" Hayley said.

"I know how to kill her" we heard behind us. I turned to see Elisa stood up, her nose bleeding and her face pale but strong. "If I don't have long to live, I'm going to make sure I don't go to that place of death and horror. We are going to kill Davina, and I am going to get Kol back".
