Training came and went, and now it was time for me to eat dinner and go to bed. I was sitting outside watching the captain and (Y/N) train overtime. She wasn't doing so well, but she kept getting up after each time she fell.

"Ow!" she yelled after hitting the ground again. "That spot still hurts, Levi."

The captain grabbed her hand and helped her up.

"One more round, and we'll be finished alright?" he said to her. She pouted her lips and crossed her arms.

"Fine." she said.

They began to train once again, and I just sat there watching them. (Y/N) was tired and irritated, but she is determined to regain her strength again after all the years she was gone. From what I've heard, she was quite strong back before I was even born. It makes me wonder about (S/N).

I'm still quite confused on how she raised (S/N) while she was in the Survey Corps. Maybe she sent him to the underground because she couldn't take care of him? Oh, I don't know.

"Lauren!" I heard a voice say.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked around to see who said my name. To my surprise, it was (S/N).

"Oh, hi, (S/N)." I said softly.

"What are you doing outside? Why not come inside to eat?" he asked before sitting next to me.

"Uh I was just watching Heichou and your mother train." I looked back over at them. "And just thinking about things."

"What are you thinking about?"

I frowned and smirked.

"You're asking a lot of questions."

(S/N) laughed and grabbed my hand. He pulled me up and started to take me with him.

"Oi, I wanted to stay outside." I whined.

"Well, I want you to be with me right now." he replied, which his comment made me slightly blush.

"O-Oh, alright."

We went in the mess hall and sat somewhere. (S/N) and I sat at a table to ourselves and started talking. He was chatting about Hanji and started to grow interested in titans and everything about the outside world. I could understand his curiosity, for he grew up in the underground for most of his life.

"So you want to study about titans?" I asked him.

"Yes, but Hanji said that it was a 'dangerous' subject to get into."

"You got that right," I smirked. "Do you know how many times I heard stories about her almost dying? She almost killed herself once to talk to a titan."

"Ah..." (S/N) said looking ahead of him. He frowned, and I looked up to see what he was frowning at.

I saw Finn come to my table and he sat across from me.

"Evening fellow cadets, how-"

"Go away, pervert." (S/N) suddenly said with a harsh tone.

"Someone's mad." Finn laughed. He glanced over at me. "How are you, Laurie-chan?"

"Fine." I replied.

"You're angry as well, yes?" Finn asked.

I raised a brow and made eye contact with Finn. He raised his hands.

"Alright, alright. I'll leave you two alone. Don't forget about tonight, Laurie-chan." Finn said. Before he left (S/N) rose his voice.

"What are you and Lauren doing tonight?" he asked.

"Sister brother bonding that's all. After...what happened to Ronald we've been just distressed and we've decided to become closer."

(S/N) glared at Finn, then made a slight 'tch.' Finn began to walk away and (S/N) got close to my ear.

"Don't see him tonight." he said with a more serious tone of voice.

"Why?" I asked him.

"I just don't want you talking with that bastard." he replied.

I looked back at Finn, who was walking away, and decided to listen to (S/N) and my inner voice to not see him. I put my attention back on (S/N) and he grew distracted because it seemed that his mother had come inside. She came to him and hugged him tightly.

"How is my baby boy?" she said hugging him extremely tight.

"Mom, I'm fine. You are aware that I'm not three anymore, right?"

"You're still my little (S/N)." (Y/N) glanced at me and smiled. "Evening, Lauren."

"Evening, Mrs. Floy-, I mean (Y/N). Sorry." I said embarrassed of what I had said.

"It's alright. I'm still getting used to being called (L/N) now. I forgot how strict your captain was."

Captain frowned at (Y/N).

"Are you saying I'm going too hard on you?" he asked her.

"Yes, I am saying that." she replied before sitting on the table.

"You are aware that I haven't trained hard in over a decade, correct?"

"I am aware, (L/N), but it's my job to get you off your lazy butt and train."

"Lazy? You amuse me, Levi."

"It's Captain Levi to you, (Y/N)."

"Oh I'm sorry, Daddy, did I embarrass you in front of your cadets?"

Captain went up to her and whispered something in her ear, then she laughed slightly and got up from the table.

"I'll catch you later," (Y/N) said before walking away with a large smile on her face.

Captain followed her, and I was left alone with (S/N) once again.

"You're mom and the captain are very...err, how do I say this?" I said awkwardly.

"Close?" (S/N) replied.

"Yes. Do you think they are-"

"Together? Yeah, I do."

(S/N) shook his head in annoyance then smiled at me.

"It's really loud and distracting in here," he said. "How about we go to my room?"

I know, I know, I haven't updated this book in a hot minute. Recently, my life has been chaotic, I've been trying to get a job, family is in the hospital, school is kicking my ass, crush doesn't like me, you know a bunch of bullshit has been just beating the crap out of me but I finally got a chapter for you guys.
