29. Butterfly Effect

The two cousins got to the site where they saw Ronnie-Stein in the middle of a snowy field.

"Professor Stein!" Caitlin calls out, walking over to them.

"What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here!" He shouts back.

She walks closer to him,"we can separate you. We can stop the explosion" she tells him.

"How?" He asks and Tori begins walking towards them just in case.

"A quantum splicer. It's a fission device designed to bombard your atoms just like it did with the particle accelerator" Caitlin explains.

"It should be enough to separate you" Tori speaks up,"please Stein. Let's test it"

He nods before him and Caitlin share a few quiet words as she hooks on the splicer.

"Hurry, Cait!" Tori shouts.

"Babe, 2 minutes please-"

"I got it Barry" she stops him, a little frustrated.

"Alright it's on" Caitlin says before pressing some things.

"It's not working" Caitlin freaks out.

"Tori you need to get out of there" Cisco says and Tori grabs Caitlin before teleporting over by the trees.

"Wait don't go to the lab yet" Caitlin says and Tori teleports about 3 miles away and then there's an explosion.

"Tori! Caitlin! Are you alright?" Cisco yells.

"Yeah" Tori replies.

"Were you exposed to any radiation?"

"I don't think so, we're far from the explosion"

"Wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait this can't be" she hears Cisco,"The Geiger counter in your suit, it's reading less than one millirad"

"That's normal" Tori replies.

"There's no radiation anywhere at all" she hears Wells.

"Come on" Tori says to Caitlin and she wraps her arm around her waist, teleporting back to the explosion.

They stand in front of a crater that was surrounded in smoke and Caitlin begins to climb down it.

Tori follows and they see Ronnie in torn up clothing.

"Ronnie?" Caitlin asks, walking towards him.

Tori crosses her fingers as Caitlin kneels down next to him.

"What's your name?" She asks Ronnie.

"Ronnie Raymond" he smiles before kissing her.

"Ronnie!" Tori shouts in excitement and Ronnie looks at her with a smile.

"Excuse me" they hear and they look to where the voice came from.

"Obviously, I need a change of clothes" Professor Stein says and Tori nods.

"Alright, let's go back to the lab" she says before pulling Caitlin to her to lock arms and Caitlin locks her arm with Ronnie; Stein with Tori.

"Hold on" and within seconds they are in the cortex where Stein and Ronnie stumble a little, Caitlin helping Ronnie regain balance.

"Cisco, Caitlin, help them clean themselves up" Wells orders and they do so.

Barry walks up to Tori, embracing her and kissing her face.

"I was scared about the radiation killing you" he sighs and she laughs.

"Barry, relax" she says before quickly kissing him and then changing back to her regular clothes which Barry did while she was gone.
