35. Trust

Barry ran in a few hours later after talking to the OG Trickster and after the copycat posted another video.

Everyone was gathered in the cortex including Joe where they talked about the recently posted video.

"This was posted a few hours ago. Whoever this Trickster is, he's certainly not shy" Wells says.

"Well, not every criminal likes to hide in the dark-" Barry looks at Wells accusingly.

"Cisco, can you trace where the video was posted from?" Joe cuts him off.

"I tried, but this guy is using some crazy Felicity-caliber scrambler like I've never seen. The origin of the upload's coming from hundreds of different locations" Cisco explains.

"Until he uploads another video, it's gonna be tough" Tori sighs, sitting back in her chair next to Cisco.

"This psychopath has the capability to destroy the city" Barry gives Tori a look.

"Hey, she said tough, not impossible" Cisco backs her up.

"Barry, we'll catch him" Caitlin grabs their attention,"we always do"

"Mr. Allen, a word please?" Wells says before rolling away.

Tori throws Barry a glare which he replies with a sigh before walking to the side room where Wells was.

"What do you think they're talking about?" Joe walks up to Tori.

"I don't know but Bartholomew and I will be having a little chat later as well" Tori cracks her fingers to be dramatic.

"Punch him once for me, yeah?" Joe chuckles and she nods.

"For sure"

A few minutes later, Barry walks out to Tori.

"We need to go" he bends down to whisper in her ear.

"Why? What's going on?" She asks, standing up and he shows her his phone.

Can you and Wonderess meet me? It's an emergency

"Iris?" She whispers and he nods.

They change at their houses where they kept an extra suit so no one would see them at the lab when they have a secret mission.

They both get to Jitter's in seconds where they see Iris standing in the other side of the room.

"I thought you were a full-time reporter now" Barry says, vibrating his voice,"Why are we meeting here?"

"I still have a key" she replies, chuckling.

"What's up?" Tori uses her voice changer.

"My coworker Mason Bridge is missing.
He's not at home. He's not answering his phone. I mean, it's not like him.
I am really worried that something bad has happened" she explains.

"I'm sure he's fine" Barry replies as him and Tori look at each other briefly thinking the same thing.

"That's what Eddie says. That's what everyone is saying. Please, will you look into it? For me?" Iris begs and the two metas sigh before nodding at each other.
