31. Bonding Time

It's been a few weeks since the hospital incident now but so far, no more signs of Duplex and David (who still needs a good name) and the meta human activity has been quiet.

Until, of course, this night.

"I gotta go down to the morgue. Someone broke in" Barry grabs his coat as Tori pauses the movie they were watching.

She stands up as well, grabbing a jacket.

"Who would rob a morgue?"

"I know right? Disgusting" he says and they flash to the lab where Barry changes into his suit and Tori decides to sit this one out.

"Yeah, I'm not a big fan of being surrounded by dead, decaying bodies" Tori answers Cisco when he asks.

A few minutes go by, silence on Barry's end.

"Hey what's up" Tori says into the mic.

"The coroner. He's dead"

"Who would kill the coroner?" Tori asks, baffled.

"Again. I don't know" Barry replies before hearing cop cars.

"And now I gotta go back"

"While you guys work on that, I gotta go to Jitters. Iris needs me" Tori says as the team looks for who attacked the morgue and Barry looks at her.

"As who?"

"Tori" she replies and he nods.

"Okay, I'll be back" and she was off to
jitters.

"Alright, what do you need?" Tori sits in front on Iris who as typing quickly on her laptop.

"My boss wants me to write about the new superhero, Wonderess. She saved 20 people from a hospital a few weeks ago from the two new villains in town and he's interested in learning about her, as I am as well. I've only written on her once so I thought you could help me find any articles on her" Iris says and Tori sits back.

"Wait, do you believe in her?" Iris asks.

"That she's real? I mean yeah. She was on the news a few times"

"Yeah, she was on the news for the hostage situation" Iris starts typing again.

"She's insane. How can one teleport?"

"How can one run at the speed of light?" Iris retorts.

"Touché"

And so Tori helped her friend look for things on Wonderess from 12 to 3 and they couldn't really find much.

"You know what, I might just summon her. Maybe you can meet her as well!" Iris says, getting her phone out to contact Wonderess.

"Um actually. I have to go" Tori says, packing her stuff and turning her phone on silent knowing she will be getting a text from Iris as Wonderess.

"Alright. Well I texted Wonderess so she should be meeting me on the roof if you would like to join"

"How do you even text her?" Tori stops getting ready to leave so she seemed a little normal.

"On my blog. It's hard to explain" she says before typing more things on her computer.

"Alright, well I have to go. Um...science stuff" Tori says, walking out.

She checks her phone and sees the text from Iris then groans.

She zaps to Star then quickly changes into her suit without anyone noticing, teleporting back to the roof of Jitter's.
