Merlin looked over at the portal he had created sadly, waiting for the Davenport clan to come out and use it.
"Do you think they'll ever come back?" Gwaine asked as he walked over to Merlin. "No," Merlin sighed. "I think we'll never see them again, sadly."
"It's a pity," Gwaine said. "I quite liked Bree's personality."
"She's definitely a character," Merlin said with a small smile. They looked over at the edge of the woods as Arthur walked up with the siblings.
"They're ready to go," Arthur said stoically, standing off to the side by Merlin, watching them.
"Well, guess we should go," Leo said timidly, looking over at the others.
"Guess so," Chase replied a little more confidently. He looked over at Merlin, Gwaine and Arthur and smiled a little. "Thanks for everything, guys."
"Our pleasure," Arthur replied, smiling a little back and nodding once. Chase nodded back, walking up to Merlin and giving him a hug.
"I'm gonna miss you," he mumbled.
"I'm gonna miss you too," Merlin replied, hugging him back. Chase eventually pulled back, turning and walking right through the portal without a second glance.
"Bye," Bree said, waving and smiling a little at Gwaine.
"Goodbye," he replied. "Stay true to yourself, always." Bree nodded back before running through after Chase.
"Well, uh..." Adam said, looking between Leo and the others. "I don't have anything to say. Thanks for making sure my brother didn't die, I guess."
"No problem," Merlin replied, smiling a little and nodding at him. Adam nodded back and walked through with Leo, who waved on the way out.
"Are they going to close the portal?" Arthur asked.
"Yes," Merlin said. "Once they're all through they will."
"How do you suppose they made it?" Gwaine asked.
"Magic," Merlin said casually, watching as the portal closed. "Anyways, we should get back."
"Yeah," the other two sighed, all three of them turning and walking off.
"I'm really going to miss them," Merlin commented.
"Me too," Arthur said. "Not too much, but some."
"I hope they do all right, back in their world," Gwaine added.
"I'm sure they will," Arthur said. "They did amazingly well here."
"I, uh...I think they'll be all right," Merlin said, nodding and letting out a sigh. "They've got their powers, and each other. That's all they need, if you ask me." He smiled a little. "I doubt there's anything that could truly stop them."{Author's note: And scene. Thanks for all the support, votes and comments you've given throughout this wild ride!
