Season: Two
Episode(s): Chupacabra
*Ryan's POV*
The next day, I woke up to a rooster cock-a-doodle-dooing. I groaned and rolled over in my bed.
"Even in the apocalypse, mornings still suck," I mumbled to myself. I sat up and threw on the nearest article of clothing. I grabbed my bow and quiver and made my way outside.
"Morning guys," Rick said. "Let's get going. We got a lot of ground to cover." We gathered around the truck and looked at the map.
"Alright, everyone's getting new search grids today," Rick announced. "If she made it as far as the farmhouse Daryl and Ryan found, she might have gone further east than we've been so far."
"I'd like to help," Jimmy approached us. "I know the area pretty well and stuff."
"Hershel's okay with this?" Rick asked. I looked at Jimmy and glared at him. I knew good and well that Daddy would not allow this. Jimmy looked at me with fear. I smirked in satisfaction.
"Yeah, yeah," Jimmy stuttered. "He said I should ask you."
"Alright then. Thanks," Rick said.
"Nothing about what Daryl and Ryan found screams Sophia to me," Shane piped up. "Anyone could have been holed up in that farmhouse."
"Anybody includes her, right?" Andrea said.
"Whoever slept in that cupboard was no bigger than yay-high," Daryl gestured.
"It's a good lead," I added.
"Maybe we'll pick up her trail again," Rick said.
"No maybe about it," Daryl said. "I'm gonna borrow a horse, head up to this ridge right here, take a bird's-eye view of the whole grid. If she's up there, I'll spot her."
"Good idea," T-Dog nodded. "Maybe you'll see your chupacabra up there, too." I furrowed my brow.
"Chupacabra?" Rick questioned.
"You never heard this?" Dale grinned. "Our first night in camp, Daryl tells us that the whole thing reminds him of a time when he went squirrel hunting and he saw a chupacabra." Jimmy chuckled.
"What are you braying at, jackass?" Daryl hissed.
"So, you believe in a blood-sucking dog?" Jimmy snorted.
"Do you believe in dead people walking around?" Daryl countered.
"Zing!" I giggled. Jimmy looked at me weirdly. "What?" I asked.
"When did you get that vest?" he asked. I cocked my head and looked at the vest.
Oh. Oh no.
I was wearing Daryl's vest. Did anybody see me come out of my room with that? That would've looked bad. I smirked.
I believed that it was time to tease Daryl Dixon.
"Oh, yeah," I chuckled. "Daryl, you must've left this in my room last night!" Daryl's face turned bright red as looked down. Rick snickered.
Jimmy reached for a shotgun.
"Hey, hey," Rick stopped him. "Ever fire one before?"
"Well, if I'm going out, I want one," Jimmy said.
"Yeah, and people in hell want Slurpees," Daryl grunted and stalked off.
"Why don't you come train tomorrow?" Shane asked Jimmy. "If you're serious, I'm a certified instructor."
