It was dark when we got home. I was still quite sick. I didn't remember much of that night. I do remember gunshots, walkers, and Daryl dragging me into my cell. I woke up to see Beth sitting besides me. 

"Hi, Bethy," I groaned as I woke up.

"You're lucky," she said. "Your fever went down fast. Those pills saved your life." 

"What happened last night?" I asked. 

"Some of the sick people turned," Beth explained. "Daddy, Glenn, and Sasha are okay, but there were many deaths. One of the fences fell and Rick and Carl had to take care of that."

"Is Daryl okay?"

"He's fine. He wouldn't leave your side until I made him go to bed." 

"Bethy?"

"Yes?"

"Sing for me. Something happy." 

Beth took a deep breath and started singing.

"Beautiful," I muttered. I sat up slowly. 

"Take your time," Beth held my shoulder. "Oh-- there's one more thing you should know."

"What?" I yawned.

"Carol killed Karen and David," Beth said. I looked at her in shock. "Rick kicked her out yesterday. I know you two were friends, but she's strong. She can take care of herself." 

"I-- I just didn't expect Carol to do somethin' like that," I said. "I mean, I can understand her reasoning behind it, but it's not her call to decide who lives and who dies."
