Episode(s): The Next World - Knots Untie

*Ryan's POV*

Two Months Later

I woke up with a weird feeling on my neck. Small butterfly kisses were being placed on my neck. Daryl's warm hands coated my waist.

"Oi!" I exclaimed. "I'm awake, you can stop!"

"Nah," Daryl nuzzled his face in the crook of my neck. "I love you too much."

"Shouldn't you be meetin' Rick for that run today?" I asked and tried not to giggle as his lips continued their assault on my neck.

"You're way more important," Daryl kissed my cheek.

"More important than spendin' the whole day with your best buddy Ricky?"

"Oh, yeah."

I pushed his face away and sat up. My hips disagreed with that action and pined me to lie down again. I winced in pain.

"What's wrong?" Daryl asked.

"I think you were a little too rough last night," I snickered through the pain. As a response, Daryl pushed me down and captured my lips in a heated kiss.

"Seriously," I gasped. "You need to go. Rick gets antsy when you're late." There was a knock on our bedroom door.

"Daryl?" Rick's voice called from the other side. "Are you ready?"

"See what I mean?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Give me at least fifteen minutes, Rick!" Daryl yelled. "I'm about to screw my girlfriend into the quantum dimension!!" I covered my mouth to stop myself from laughing.

"Uhh," Rick stuttered. "Just come down when you're... finished." Rick's footsteps signaled that he had left.

"Yeah, you need to go," I said and kissed him one last time. "Have fun, Romeo."

"Is that your way of tellin' me I ain't gonna make it," Daryl asked.

"Nope," I said. "Didn't I tell you that you were gonna be the last man standin'? And get more moonshine while you're out there!"

"Will do, babe."

After Daryl left, I walked through the streets by myself. I saw Enid drawing in her notebook.

"Hey," I said. "Where have you been?"

"What?" Enid asked.

"I never see you," I shrugged. "Everyone's been workin' for ways to get this place back together and you just disappear. Do you sit in your room all day?"

"No," Enid said, not looking up from her notebook.

"Then where'd you go?" I asked.

"Nowhere," Enid answered.

"You helped me and Glenn get home," I said. "You helped Maggie when she was up in that guard post."

"Yeah?" Enid raised an eyebrow.

"So maybe there are better places for you to go than just nowhere," I said. "I'm around. Come talk to me." I gave her a smile and walked off.

---

I walked home to see Glenn sipping some coffee and reading some book.

"What's up, Glennjamin?" I asked.
