Season: Three

Episode(s): Home - I Ain't a Judas (Maybe)

I sat on my bunk with my head hanging. For some reason, I felt even more depressed about Daryl and Merle than yesterday.

Memories of both of them started clouding my head.

*Flashback #1*

"I ain't no pussy!" I exclaimed as I looked back to see Daryl speeding closely behind me on his bike. He gave me an evil smile and hit the acceleration.

"Come on!" I exclaimed to Sleipnir as we pushed on. I was not losing this race!

*Flashback #1 Over*

*Flashback #2*

Merle and I sat on a bench, talking and laughing. It was times like these that made my life worth living.

"Hey, Merle!" a man a street over exclaimed. I recognized him as Connor, Merle's friend. He was really nice, but a bit flirty.

"Hey there, Ryan!" Connor said.

"Hi, Connor," I waved. Merle looked at me.

"Ya mind if I go with him now?" he asked. My phone buzzed. I looked down to see a text from Maggie.

"It's okay," I said to Merle. "I gotta go home." We stood up and started walking in opposite directions. We turned around and faced each other.

We punched our chests and made a peace sign at each other. He met up with Connor and I drove myself home.

*Flashback #2 Over*

I hadn't even noticed I was crying. No... no, there was no way in hell I was going to let Merle and Daryl leave again.

I knew what I had to do.

I knelt down and clasped my hands together.

"Rest in peace. Now get up and go to war."

I stood up and grabbed my jacket. I rubbed my arrow necklace and started running. I ran out of the cell block, out of the prison, and to where the cars were parked.

"Ryan?" Glenn noticed me. "What are you doing?" I got onto Daryl's motorcycle and started the engine.

"Ryan, no!" he yelled as I started speeding down the road. I opened the gate myself and sped off.

Hang on, Dixons. I was coming.

---

I stopped the bike in the woods, around three miles from the prison. I got off and landed on my knees. I had gotten little to no sleep and was absolutely exhausted.

"Daryl!" I looked up at the sky and screamed, not caring how many enemies it attracts. "Merle!" I started crying and hyperventilating.

"Merle! Daryl!" I screamed again. "Please, come home..." I laid on the ground and rolled around like Rick did when Lori died.

I was going crazy without Daryl and Merle. I shouldn't have to depend so much on them. Hell, I shouldn't have to depend so much on anybody!

"I-- I think I'll take a quick nap," I muttered and closed my eyes.

---

When I woke up, the sun had moved just barely. I must have been asleep for about an hour.
