Season: Six
Episode(s): Heads Up - No Way Out
*Ryan's POV*
"Glenn!" I screamed as the walkers tore the flesh from his body. I had one job, one job, and that was to get him back to Maggie safe and sound.
That was when I noticed Glenn was not being ripped apart.
Nicholas, who had conveniently landed right on top of Glenn, was being ripped apart.
Glenn was still very much alive.
He managed to squeeze out from under Nicholas and under the dumpster without alerting any of the walkers. I slipped behind the dumpster and crawled under with him. It was a tight fit, but we managed.
Glenn gripped my hand and covered me with his body. We stayed like that as the growls of the walkers became less and less.
We stayed there for a day with no water or food.
When the sun rose again, we crawled out from underneath the dumpster.
"How the hell did we survive that?" I gasped and put my hands on my knees.
"Cheating the laws of the universe, I guess," Glenn smirked. The two of us desperately scavenged for water or anything we could drink.
Glenn picked up our flare gun. It was broken in two. I picked up a handgun and put it in the back on my pants.
"Hey, heads up!" a small voice yelled from above. A water bottle fell at our feet. Some of the water splashed away.
"Enid?!" I gasped.
"Shit," Enid muttered. "I said heads up." She walked away.
"Enid?" Glenn called. We grabbed our stuff and climbed into the building Enid was on top of. The building was full of shelves with random crap in it.
"Enid," I called. "What are you doin' out here?"
"There's another water bottle in the corner," Enid yelled. "Take it and go." Glenn picked up the water bottle and took a sip. He handed it to me and I mimicked his action.
"You're not gonna answer me?" I asked.
"No," Enid said.
"What happened in Alexandria?" Glenn asked. "We heard that sound. The gunfire. Enid."
"What happened is what always happens," Enid answered. "People died."
"The herd broke through the walls?" Glenn asked.
"What herd?" Enid asked.
"The walkers," I said. "They broke out of the quarry early. We got on them, but that sound, the air horn, what was that?"
"It was people," Enid responded. "You should go." Boards creaked above us. She was upstairs.
"My wife, Maggie, she okay?" Glenn asked.
"What about Merle?" I asked desperately.
"Enid!" Glenn shouted when she didn't answer. "Are they okay? Answer me! Enid!" When she didn't answer again, we broke into a run.
"Enid!" I yelled as we ran up the stairs. "Enid!" The window was open. She must've jumped out. We crawled through it and walked on the roof. We saw Enid grab a bag and take off.
"Hey, Enid!" Glenn exclaimed. We climbed down and chased her. The two of us walked down an alleyway, looking for that elusive kid. We came up to a fence with a body slouched against it.
