I felt myself wake up but I didn't open my eyes. I was sore all over, my muscles ached and burned with movement. I wasn't entirely sure if they ached from a lack of blood in my diet at the moment or because of the toxins they had injected me with. That was when I remembered what had happened to me. My eyes flashed open in the exact second I realized where I was. I was chained to a chair in a dark damp room. My hands were bound behind my back and my feet chained to the legs of the metal chair. I moaned loudly feeling the concoction I was injected with surge through my veins. I pulled at the chains that were tied tightly around me but that proved to be useless. I noticed my head seemed to be much clearer and I could recall memories from Alina's life, small moment's but they were still there. I was still missing huge chunks of her life but I knew who she was and I remembered her early life. Being a kid and playing with Barbies with Elena on the old carpet in the house before their parents ripped it up and replaced it with hardwood. Everything was so scrambled in my head it was hard to recall more important memories, and more recent ones. The events of earlier played over in my head and I then understood why I was in my ripped up cloths but I realized that a blanket was draped over my body. "I thought you might be cold." A man's voice spoke from behind the steel door. I laughed. "Hybrids don't get cold, especially not me." I almost snarled. I tugged at the chains desperately trying to get free but stopped when I heard the lock on the door click and the door swing open. In stepped the man who had injected me with the toxins. "Let me out or I am going to kill every living soul in this building." I threatened him. "No you won't." The man said as he stood in the door way. "You wont hurt us." He added as he crossed his arms over my chest. "Really?" I asked him with a smirk. "Then why won't you come any closer to me?" I asked with a sinister look in my eyes. "I know you. The real you, and I know you wont hurt your family." He said in a convincing voice. "Your right," I agreed. "I won't hurt my family." I told him with raised eye brows. "What's your name?" I asked him with an innocent look. "Alaric, but you call me Rick." He breathed. "Well Rick, you are not my family!" I said in a cold tone. "Klaus is my family. Me Thalia. The real me not some pathetic shell I used to live in." I spat at him. I watched his face fall and I smirked. "I lived for fourteen hundred years as Thalia. You cannot tell me that out weighs eighteen years spent as this Alina. That's a blink of an eye when you have eternity." I said in a more reasonable tone. "She was a vessel to hold my soul, she was temporary. A means to and end." I hissed. "Years from now when you are all dead and rotting in the grave I will live on. Eternity with him, that is what Klaus promised me. A vow stronger than that of a marriage, strong enough to transcend lifetimes and remain just as vibrant and fierce as the day we promised each other." I argued with fire. "You love him?" Rick asked me and left me stunned for a moment. "You think you know love?" I asked him as I looked him directly in his eyes. "I loved Jenna with everything I had." He almost swore. "You know nothing of love. You know nothing of the sacrifices Klaus an I have gone through to be together. Murder, curses, all out war between the species, and even death. I will not give up here. You may try to break me today but you will fail. I'm a two thousand year old Tribrid, first of my kind. Do you really think you out of all people in this world can break me?" I asked him honestly. "Maybe not. But I'd rather just talk to you than hurt you but that's entirely up to you." He told me from the doorway. "And what do you want me to tell you?" I asked curious. "About Klaus." He answered me. "You fear Klaus, good." I almost praised him. "But it's me you should fear." I warned him. "Centuries of vampires, werewolves, and witches will all tell you just how much they fear me. I am the creator and the destroyer of us all." I told him truthfully. "I have loyal monsters all over this world just looking for an opportunity to do me a favor." I threatened. "All I have to do is give them the world and you and all of your friends are dead. It's that easy." I almost laughed. Rick gave me a hurt look before walking out and shutting the door behind him. I nearly laughed. How ironic it was they he was supposed to break me but it was I who broke him.
