"Where are you taking us?" Rebekah asked as I led her and Niklaus deeper into the caves under the village. "It's a place I used to go with my sister." I told them as I led the way. "When you were mortal?" Klaus asked with a raised brow. "Yes, a very long time ago." I smirked as I let my fingers dance over the damp cave walls that hadn't changed a bit since the last time I had been down here nearly a thousand years ago. "Here." I said as I handed Niklaus the torch. "It's right down here." I added as he took our only light source as we turned a corner. "How do you know it's still here?" Rebekah asked curious. "Like you said it's been a very long time." She added as we came up to the opening of the cavern. "I spelled the entry way." I smirked as I crossed into the cavern. "No immortal being except me can get into this place." I smiled as I reached my hand out to Klaus. He took it without hesitation. He wanted me more than anything because he couldn't have me. I belonged to his older brother, Elijah. But Klaus always had a way of tempting me. With a seductive look I led Klaus and Rebekah deeper into the cave. "What is this place?" Rebekah asked as we came upon the cave I once used to practice my magic in. "This is where I came to practice magic." I said as I pulled away a dusty tapestry to reveal my altar I once used. With a blink of my eyes the century old candles burst into flames to illuminate the altar.
"You practiced dark magic here." Rebekah said as she almost backed away from the alter. I sighed as I picked up an old knife from the pile and examined it. "I was young and trying to save the life of my sister." I told them truthfully. "And did you?" Rebekah asked me carefully and I looked away from the knife and into her eyes. "No, I didn't." I said rather sadly. Klaus took my hand and I had to swallow hard to stop myself from becoming emotional. "I used to bring her here though." I smiled. "Before she got sick. When we were children." I said as I walked over to the other side of the cave and put my hand to the cave wall. "See look." I smiled as I pointed out my and Thira's name carved into the cave wall in Latin. "I made her a promise the day we carved these." I began as I touched my sisters name. "I promised her that we would be together as a family always and forever." I said with a sad smile. I made her that promise when we came to this place, after we fled Rome. After our our brother was killed for being a witch. "It didn't turn out that way." I added as the painful memories of my human life passed through my mind. "No but you have found a new family to be with always and forever." Rebekah said as she walked over and took the knife from my hand. She smiled before she pressed the knife to the wall and began scratching away at her name in viking script. Klaus stood behind her waiting for his turn to scratch his name into the wall as he held the torch for Rebekah to see. "Rebekah, let me have at it!" He urged her once he felt she had long enough. "Quiet, Niklaus! I am to have more concentration if I am not to slice off a finger." She said half paying attention to Klaus. "Father will not like you handling the blade." Klaus reminded her. "If I want to wield a blade, I shall wield a blade! Father need not know" Rebekah insisted. "He will find out. He always does." Klaus said worried. "That is because you always tell him." Rebekah reminded him. "I cannot help it...he frightens me." Klaus emitted. We were all fearful of Mikeal's wraith. "He frightens us all. That is why we stick together as one, always and forever." I said as I turned to take the torch from his hand and offering him to scratch his name. "Right, traitor?" Rebekah smiled as she urged him to join us. "Right." Klaus smiles back. "Here. You finish it. We are to help mother with the meal." Rebekah said as she went to hand Klaus the knife. "Yes, go tend to dinner, and leave the blades to the men." Klaus smirked at us. Rebekah nearly hissed before she slammed the knife blade-side down into his palm, slicing it open. "Agh, Bekah!" Klaus winched as he took the knife from his flesh. "It's just a little blood. Be a man about it." I joked as I passed Klaus the torch back.
