~*~Damon POV~*~
I carried Thalia's up the lawn of the Gilbert house with Stefan and Elena beside me. We would keep her here for now until Stefan and I came back from dumping Klaus's body in the ocean. She and Elena would be safe here from Alaric when the sun went down. I glanced down at her and frowned. She was no longer bleeding, all of her wounds had closed but she was still extremely bruised. "She should be awake by now." I said worried as I carried her towards the house. "She lost a lot of blood today." Stefan tried to settle my worry. "You both did." Stefan said as he helped Elena up the front porch. "Yeah, I know, but I told you I'm fine, I just – I have a little headache." Elena tried to convince us. "Yeah, but the sun's about to go down and Ric's gonna be able to terrorize the streets any minute." I reminded her. "Yeah, but he can't hurt me. It's you three that we should be worrying about." She said as she motioned to the three of us. "Nah, he won't be able to find us." Stefan assured her as she opened the front door for me. "You can put her in her old room. It's just as she left it." Elena said as she motioned to the stairs. I nodded as I walked through the threshold and began the climb. It had been so long since Thalia had been here, she was almost and entirely different person the last time she was here. Almost, but not quite. I had been recently reminded just how much of Alina remained in her. I turned my back towards the door and backed into it opening it with my shoulder as I pulled Thalia into the room. Elena was right, it was just as she left it the last day she was here. It was the day of John and Jenna's funeral, the day we buried her old body. Her room was so different from Elena's I had almost forgotten. Elena's room was so normal and plain. Empty white walls, white furniture, white bedspread. Alina's room was colorful. Every inch of her walls was covered in albums and band posters. Her bed was unmade and her cloths were sprawled across the room. Her room looked lived in, which was kind of ironic because she hadn't lived in it for nearly half a year now. I couldn't help but smile at the stars she had glued to the ceiling, they glue in the dark. She had such a free spirit, she was the kind of girl that the world couldn't seem to tame.
I walked into the room and carefully laid Thalia down on the bed. I did my best to clean her up earlier but she was a mess. I was extremely worried, she should have woken up by now and she hadn't. But part of me was glad she hadn't. When she found out what we did to Klaus she was going to tear this town apart. I was terrified she would never forgive me for what I did this time. For what I was about to do. But Klaus was a danger to us all. I pushed a stand of her long black hair from her face before I leaned down and kissed her the porcelain skin of her forehead. "I'm sorry." I whispered to her limp body. She was unresponsive, the only indication that she was alive was the shallow rise and fall of her chest. I sighed in defeat as I stood and left the room. I walked down the stairs to find Stefan and Elena still standing in the doorway. "We'll call you from the road, after we dump Klaus' body in the Atlantic." I said as I walked past them and out of the house. I just wanted to be done with this entire situation. "Just...be careful. Both of you." She said softly. Stefan walked off but I lingered. "What is it?" Elena asked confused. "You call me the minute she wakes up." I ordered her. "What why?" She questioned. "We don't know how she's going to react Elena. As much as I like to think she will be fine and everything will go back to normal, I know otherwise. When she finds out Klaus is gone she just might loose it. You remember how disoriented she was when she woke up after they broke the curse." I warned her. "She snapped Jeremy's neck." Elena remembered. "She's unpredictable, I get it." Elena agreed. "We just took away one of the only reason's she has played nice this entire time." I spoke clearly. "Even as Alina when she thought Bonnie was dead she nearly destroyed my entire house with her magic." I recalled. "Don't tell her anything until we come back." I told her. "Agreed." She nodded as I turned and left.
