        ~*~Damon POV~*~

My lips turned up in a genuine smile, watching Thalia talk animatedly to Elena. Ever since the night of the Homecoming dance she was practically a member of our small family. Thalia smiled widely at something Elena said before turning her eyes over to me since she felt my stare on her. I wiggled my eyebrows at her and held my drink up in the air, as if to toast her. Thalia laughed and bowed her head slightly, as if to thank me. "Damon...Damon?" Alaric's voice jarred me from my staring contest as I turned back to my friend at the bar "Hmm? What?" I asked innocently. "I've been trying to get your attention for the last five minutes." Alaric said and his gaze followed mine, that were now following Thalia over to the pool table. "Oh...I see." The history teacher sighed. "Another distraction?" He asked "No, Rick." I murmured quietly. "She's just...different." I stated. "You mean shes acting a bit more like Alina these days?" Rick asked with a raised brow. "She has her moments." I smiled over at her again.

~*~Thalia POV~*~

I removed the wooden triangle from the pool balls, placing it back on the tack on the wall before picking up a stick. I waltzed over to stand and bend in front of the white ball at the center of the triangle when I felt someone's breath down the back of my neck. "Damon I'm a two thousand year old hybrid, I know how to play." I whined. The vampire in question draped his body over mine and placed his hands atop mine on the pool stick I was holding. "It's no fun playing by yourself." He whispered in my ear and pressed his hard body into mine. He teasingly bit my ear lobe and a shiver passed through my body. Damn vampire was trying to throw me off my game. Things had been pretty normal since we confessed our fondness for each other. We'd flirt with each other, harmlessly, and that was the extent of things. Damon cared for me, but he just couldn't let go of Elena. He cared for her to. He had acquired feelings for her in my absence and I had the misfortune of hearing all of his thoughts about her and feeling his emotions for myself.

Stefan was gone, he left them the night I killed Mikael and didn't return to either side. Klaus had heard nothing from him either. That was what worried me. Stefan had crossed a line, what was stopping him from crossing another. Elena even said that they all had to let him go. But was she turning her eyes to Damon in the same moment I had fessed up to still feeling things for him. I couldn't loose him, not after I had emitted that I still cared for him. I was trying so hard to come off as a monster to push him away, it was easier that way. But that was over now. Damon and I both fessed up and change was in the air. "She so unlike Elena, completely understands that I am a vampire and not a goody-goody like Stefan." Damon's thoughts echoed in my mind. "Oh really?" I smirked, drawing the stick back and hitting the white ball. It sent the balls in all directions across the green felt and each one managed to fall into the pockets. I wiggled my eyebrow at Damon who was standing with his mouth open in shock that I won after one shot. A dainty finger brought his bottom jaw to meet the top one. "Close your mouth, Damon." I craned my head up high, hauntingly. "You wouldn't want to catch flies." Damon raised a challenging eyebrow at me and slipped an arm around my waist, pulling me into his chest. "Why are you so mean to me?" He pouted. "Me? Mean? Never." I purred and placed my hands on his chest. Damon eyed me up and down as his hands traveled from my waist to rest on my backside. Ice blue stared into electric green as our lips inched closer to each other but someone bumped me. I looked over my shoulder and my eyes widened once I recognized who it was. "Tony." I stated and the brown eyed hybrid smiled menacingly. Damon growled low in his chest just loud enough for both hybrids to hear. "Is Nicklaus with you?" Tony jerked his head up to the tables in the back of the Grill and I followed his gaze to where I saw Klaus sitting in one of the booths. His eyes were fixed on the vampire who was trying to make nice with the love of his life. "He wants to speak with you." I nodded and moved to where Klaus was with Damon right behind me, but Tony blocked his way. "Not you vampire." The hybrid growled. "Get bent, hybrid." Damon snarled. The two men staring each other down until I stepped between them. I put my hand on Damon's chest and lightly pushed him back. "It's alright, Damon." I said, my eyes pleading with him to back down. Damon glanced at Klaus, who was still staring at him, and glared at Tony before sauntering to the bar. I knew I was busted. I was seen canoodling with the man who tried to stake Klaus. I sat down in the booth and Damon gave me a calm look over his shoulder before downing a shot of who-knows-what. "What is he?" Klaus's voice jarred me from my gaze at Damon. "He's...a friend." I answered. "Well, Tony is my friend but you don't see him with his hands on my ass." He grumbled. I smiled at his jealousy, but quickly pushed it down. "Why are you back so soon?" I asked, trying to take his mind off ripping Damon limb from limb. "Stefan stole something from us." He said gravely. "What?" I huffed uninterested in the drama. "My family, our family." Klaus replied and I felt my blood boil. "No." I stated and Klaus just nodded. "He stole the coffins. Why would he do that?" I asked him. "I don't know but I can assure you that if I have to pry them from his cold dead hands –" Klaus growled. "You won't have to do that." I interrupted him. "And why the hell not?" Klaus questioned. "Because I will." I threatened coldly as I eyed Damon who was talking with Alaric when an idea hit me. "I'll talk to Damon. Maybe he might know Stefan's whereabouts." I assured him. "And what makes you so sure he'd trust you and rat his brother out?" Klaus inquired. "I have a...a hold over him much like the hold I have over you." I hated saying that I had a hold over Damon, but I needed to convince him that I'd get the coffins back. "I can see that." He grumbled and I sent him a smile. "You're not getting all jealous on me now, are you? You haven't exactly been around for the last ninety years." I accused him. "I had business to take care of. And how could I not be jealous. You're the love of my life. I should rip his bloody head off." He said simply before taking a swig from his drink. "Don't be jealous love, he is just a toy. You are forever, but you let your father kill me and that's not how a husband and wife relationship is supposed to go." I knew I was digging myself into a deep hole but I had done a lot of thinking since the night of the Homecoming dance if he wanted my forgiveness he was going to have to work for it. "I just don't want my toys being broken just yet." I warned him. "Just get them to give them back." Klaus said. "Fine. You don't break my toys perhaps you will get a reward." I suggested and Klaus seemed to understand my way of thinking. "Don't forget your real family. This one in Mystic Falls is just a replacement." He reminded me as I got up. I leaned over and whispered in his ear "We'll get them back, together." I promised noticing Klaus's glare at Damon I leaned closer and kissed Klaus sweetly on the lips. "Feel better now?" I questioned and he smiled up at me. "Yes." I dragged my nail down his jaw line leaving a trail of blood. "You've got nothing to be jealous of, I'm all yours." I smirked before stalking away from the booth while Klaus just sat there speechless. Damon gripped the joint of my elbow as I brushed past him. "Hey, what happened?" He asked seeing that I was distraught. "Why don't you ask your brother." I said angry while wrenching my arm from his grip.
