The Forgotten Places

You'd be surprised how many places

We seem to forget on a regular basis.

Maybe somewhere where the wild things grow,

Someone remembers, but who'll ever know?

I'll forget to remember to remind myself—

I'll put that note up on my Never-Forget-Shelf!

We try to remember but—please!

I'm a poet: I know these things.

I'll prove it to you; I'll ask you a question, that's what I'll do!

I'll bet you can't remember this poem's title, do you?
