The Moon

The thin silver rays give off subtle light,

Watching me dance with the darkness tonight.

Oh, the sun is a beauty, I won't deny.

But...something about the moon makes me sigh.

Have you noticed the twinkling stars?

The ones far above any movies or cars?

Only pictures can give them the glory they need,

But I'm just a poet, so this story I'll weave.

Far above our world, so pathetic and sad,

Is a silvery place that's, honestly, not so bad.

Here I can prance with that moon so bright...

And not have to worry about any a fright.

So when you're ready, come join me.

This Moonplace...hmm...it's good place to be.
