Nathaniel's Point Of View

Why does it feel so real

Those are the words that keep running through my head. Usually I just ignore the vision, but after he said that I just couldn't get it out of my head.

"Nathaniel?"

"What?" I say, "What just happened?" Someone is waving their hand in front of me. I push it away. I recognize the voice now. It's Reid. I get a look at my surroundings. I'm in some backstage area. Then it hits me. I'm backstage waiting to go onstage for the show. I'm siting on a couch with my laptop in hand.

"I don't know, you were just somewhere in your own world," he says, "Were you thinking about what Cameron said?"

"Uh... no," I say.

"Reese told me what happened," he says.

"It was something Cam said," I say.

"Oh, well, clear your head some because we're going on in about 10 minutes," he says, "Here." Next thing I know there's a water bottle flying my way. I catch it.

"Left," he says.

"What?" I ask.

"Got it," I hear Hunter's voice say.

"What the hell?" I ask.

"You'll see," Reid says. He then walks into the other room.

"What is going on?" I ask. Following Reid into the room. "What the hell is going on?" I ask again. Everyone else is in the room. They all look confused except for Hunter and Reid. "Hunter," I complain.

"It nothing," he says. It's definitely something. Ugh.

"Hey, Nathan," I hear Dakota say. I turn around to see her and Cameron standing there.

"Yeah?" I say.

"I need you," she says indicating the other room.

"Okay," I say and follow her into the other room. The one I was just in. Then I ask, "What's the issue?"

"Cameron won't tell me what happened," she says. He sits on the arm of the couch with his arms crossed. I take another look at Cameron he seemed fine before, but I'm not always observant when I'm in my thoughts. I try to look for something out of the ordinary. Not anything I can tel-

"What happened to your hand," I say. He doesn't respond. He just gives me a dead stare. "Is it broken or anything?" I ask Dakota.

"No, just bruised and a little cut," she says.

"Cameron," I say as I pull his chin up, "Look at me." He obeys. Then I ask, "What happened?" He doesn't reply. I take his hand to see the damage. I can't wrap my head around who would do this. Then I realize that he and his girlfriend have been having issues lately. I heard him on the phone last week, arguing, with someone. "Cameron, did Sara do this?" I ask. I see tears in his eyes. He then hugs me and whispers, "Yes." I hug him. He shouldn't be going through this. He didn't do anything to deserve it. "Cameron, it's okay. You're safe," I whisper in his ear.

"Thank you," he replies in a very quiet voice.

"Cameron. You don't have to be afraid to talk about this stuff. It's serious," I say. He takes care of others more than himself. We let go.

"Cameron, is there anything else," Dakota asks. He looks to her then back at me. He gives me a look as if saying that he doesn't want to tell us any more.

"Guys, it's time," I hear Ryan say.

"Cameron, we'll deal with this later. Okay?" I say.

"Okay," he says.

"C'mon," I say motioning them to follow. It's time to go on stage.
