A broken mirror
is seven years of bad luck
and it is believed
that a broken mirror
can capture part of your soul
within it.
There is, of course,
no truth to this legend.
I suppose humans
are just narcissistic creatures
who are obsessed with their appearances
and love to slave away at a mirror
looking at their reflections.
And why am I telling you this?
Well, I find the whole thing funny.
I mean, do you really think
a human would stare and study a mirror
if they realized that what they're looking at
is not a reflection of themselves at all
but another being entirely?
We are simply biding our time,
watching,
studying,
learning.
And what have we learned?
That humans have many weaknesses
and are
in truth
very fragile
and extremely easy to imitate.
