I woke up to the ringing of my phone. A text. I groan and mindlessly throw my arm onto the night stand, trying to reach for my phone. I grab my phone, grunting, I turn it on the sudden brightness of the screen burns my eyes.

Carter. I grunt in irritation as I open the text.

'Good morning, Mason!' I smile as I read the first text, 'Can we meet up at the new cafe?'

I quickly answer with a yes and sit up, throwing the blanket of off me. The sudden absence of the soft blanket sends a cold shiver up my spine. I open the door to my bedroom and walk into the living room.

Ethan slouching on the couch, scrolling down his phone. I walk past him into the kitchen and quickly grab a apple to eat. I walk back into the living and stand in the door way. Leaning against the door frame.

I bite into the apple and stare at Ethan, whos eyes lazily look up at me. "What?"

"Carter wants us to go to that new cafe downtown," I say after swallowing, "so get ready." I say before walking into my room to change.

I sit on the couch, waiting for Ethan to change. After a few minutes of waiting he finally walks out of the room, with a black beanie on his head, his blond bangs moved to the side. He wears a gray shirt, a black and red button-down shirt drooped from his shoulders. A black and white necklace hanging from his neck, and lastly, he wears a simple pair of converse.

"Finally," I say getting up, "we're late."

The cafe is small but bright and lively. People roam the inside of the small house like building, I rest my arm on Ethans shoulders, guiding him towards the door. "You guys!" a loud obnoxious yell rings in my ears.

I look around the street and find carter and Evan walking towards us, Evans arms in the air. I let out a slight groan and wait for them to reach us, my arm still resting on Ethans shoulders. Evan quickly runs towards Ethan and folds him into a bear hug.

"Congratulations!" Evan yells. He's a couple inches shorter than Ethan. He's the shortest but, kindest friend I have.

"Thanks," Ethan says a smile tugging at his lips.

I slouch on the booster seat next to Carter, waiting for our orders. I groan in frustration as the waitress walks past us again. "They'll give us our order soon," Carter says his green eyes catching mine, "just be patient."

His hair is naturally brown but he dyed it an icy gray a couple months ago, it suites him well, makes him more attractive.

A young girl about the age of eighteen walks up to the table with two cups of coffee and two lattes. She hands me one of the lattes without looking at me and does the same with the others. Finally, her eyes look up at us and her eyes widen once her eyes land on Ethan.

"Ethan?" She says a smile playing at her lips, "Ethan spears?" I look over at Ethan who has the same bewildered look on his face.

"Do I know you?" He asks politely.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot you haven't met me yet," She says a small smile spreading over her face, "I'm auditioning for Karen." She says. Auditioning

Ethan quickly smiles, "oh what a coincidence," He says looking her right in the eyes, "I'm auditioning for-"

"Liam, " She says finishing his sentence, "I already know." She says. "Well, I should get going." She says finally walking away.

That girl might be the girl Ethan has to kiss a thousand times. "Well, wasn't that nice?" Says Evan breaking the silence. Ethan shrugs and sips some of his latte. I look at him waiting for him to say something about the girl, like her beauty or her cute smile but, he doesn't say a thing.
