His voice is just a muffled sound.
I run as tears swell up in my eyes, causing my vision to go blurry.
I don't like it...
"Ethan!" I hear Mason yell. I open my eyes to see myself running in the parking lot. The sound of honking horns fill my ears, startling me.
I come to a sudden stop and stare at the ground, I hear Mason panting behind me. "What-" He takes a deep breath through his nose, "was that?"
I don't reply, shiny beads roll down my cheeks. Like pearls.
I fell him rest his hand on my shoulder, and gently squeezes. "It's going to be okay." He reassures me. "What happened to you?"
"W-what?" I ask as I wipe my tears away. "What happened to the Ethan who was willing to confront his boss without being afraid? Hmm?" I turn around and stare at him. I was afraid. I just didn't want to admit it.
I simply shrug and force a smile. "Why'd you run of like that?" He asks as I stare at the ground. I shrug again and sniff.
"You don't like this whole acting thing, do you?" he asks. I don't respond, stunned. "I do like it. I don't like my manager." I say as I look up at him.
"Can you do anything about it?" He asks. I can't do anything about it...
I suddenly become frustrated and yell through my teeth, I no longer bother forcing a smile. Instead I break down.
"I can't stand it anymore!" I yell catching a couple peoples attention. "I just can't!" I yell and face Mason who now has a hurt expression on his face.
"I want her to leave me alone!" I yell as tears make their way down my cheeks. My heart suddenly aches as I take a handful of my shirt, frustrated.
Masons brown eyes are suddenly murky. He stares at me his eyes shine with tears. "I don't want to do this anymore! I have to pretend to be someone I'm not! I can't go out without a bunch of bodyguards preventing me from trying to make my own fans happy!"
I can tell Mason is trying to hold back tears. "Come on." He says in a monotone. I stare at him, my mouth slightly open.
I don't move. "I said come on!" He yells grabbing me by my wrist and dragging me towards the entrance. "No!" I yell smacking his arm, trying to pull away. "I said let me go!" I yell and take my free hand and try to smack him.
He grabs my free wrist and stares at me. "Don't even try." he says as he drags me across the parking lot.
