I sit on the edge of my bed, dressed in dry clothes. The door creaks open and Abby walks in, the sweatshirt hangs a couple inches above her thighs. The shorts are so short that the sweatshirt covers them completely. She blushes as she sees me scan her bare legs.

"I'm done." She shyly whispers. I nod still staring, "I'll go to take a shower." I say standing up.

I walk into the my room drying my hair with the towel. "So, how long have..." I look up to see Abby curled up in my bed, a quiet snore escaping her lips. I walk up to the bed looking down on her. The huge bed makes her look small and fragile, the gray blanket framing her body.

I guess she'll just stay a night...

I crawl into the bed next to her, she's facing me. Her mouth slightly open, I mindlessly wrap my arms around her.

This feels familiar...

Her eyes immediately flutter open as I pull her against my chest. "Mason?" She says shocked. I ignore her and hug her tighter. "W-what are you doing?" She says slightly pushing away.

"Sorry, guess I just miss Ethan..." I say my smile quickly fading away. She stares at me for a few seconds, making me lay on my side, facing the wall.

"He'll be fine." She whispers in my ear causing a shiver to run down my spine. I don't respond. "Mason," She says grabbing my attention.

"Hmm?"

"Can I tell you something?" She says right above a whisper. This causes me to sit up and look at her.

"Yeah, what is it?"

She hesitates, "Are you and Ethan..." I immediately know what she's going to ask.

"Yes, yes we are. At least I think we still are..."  Her eyes are suddenly filled with sympathy.

"Oh," she says in realization, "I'm sorry to hear that." She says her voice suddenly soft and smooth, like honey.

I smile, "It's fine, I'm just waiting for him to apologize."

"You do realize that it's his job, right?"

I just stare at her, and nod. "That's not the only thing he did to me." I say and lay back down, closing me eyes.
