"Tomorrows the day!" Evan yells as we enter our home.

"Evan?" I say confused. "What are you doing here? How'd you get in?"

"I'll answer those questions later." He says grinning. "Hey Mason. Haven't seen you in awhile."

Mason nods and raises an eyebrow. "So, why are you here?"

Evan grins eagerly and grabs two blindfolds. "Here."

He slips them on us, and although I can't see him, I know he's still grinning like an idiot.

"Okay..." He says as he grabs both of our wrists.

"Where are you taking us?" Mason asks.

"Just wait." A few seconds later it's quite. "Okay. Here we are." He says, a quite creak echoes through the hallway as he opens a door.

"Take 'em off." He says eagerly.

I do what I'm told and stand back as I admire the surprise Evan has made for us.

The old room Mason and I decided not to use is full of stuff toys and a cute carpet sits in the middle of the room. "Oh, wow." Mason whispers in shock.

"Do you like it?" I nod as I observe the room a bit more. The room that once was full with Carters paintings is now ready for our new child.

"You did this?" Mason asks. Evan nods and wipes his forehead with the back of his hand.

"Ethan, would you mind getting me a cup of water?" Evan says smiling. I nod and exit the room.

I can hear Evan talking right when I leave. I stand near the door and eavesdrop.

"So, any thought about getting married?" I hear Evan ask Mason.

My heart quickens and I suddenly feel nervous. "Actually yes. But, I'm afraid he'll reject me." Mason says sadness laced with his voice.

I quickly run down the stairs and grab a glass of water for Evan.

He's been thinking about it..?

I walk back up the stairs and open the door, leading me to the room our child will sleep in. "Thanks." Evan says taking the cold glass of water from my pale hand.

He gulps down the water, his Adam's apple bobs up and down as he swallows the icy water.

"Have you talked to Carter?" Evan asks me as he sets the glass that was once full of water on a white nightstand.

I shake my head and glance at Mason who's running his fingertips on the white wall.

"Why?" Evan says leaning against the wall. I look at him and raise an eyebrow.

"Are you okay?" I ask as I look at him concerned. He laughs and nods, I notice him clenching onto the door frame.

"Are you sure?" he nods and his breathing becomes uneven. "Evan?" I quickly slip his arm over my shoulders and help him stand.

"I'm fine." Evan says gasping for air.

"Ethan!" I yell out of panic.

"Hello?" I hear Mason say into his phone.

Evan falls onto his knees. He's now gasping for air, desperate gasps for oxygen leave his mouth.

"Hurry!" I yell out of frustration. He grips onto my shirt and looks up at me.

Mason runs out of the room while talking into the phone. "Mason!" I yell frustrated.

Ethan slowly closes his eyes. "No, no." I whisper as I brush his bangs away from his face.

"Mason!" I yell standing up. My legs violently shake as I make my way down the stairs.

"Mason!" I yell as I stare at the door.

It's opened....

"Mason! Please! Hurry!" I look behind me.

Evan...

I look across the street and see him frantically speaking into the phone.

"Mason!" I yell as I run towards the busy street. Masons eyes widen and his mouth slightly opens.

I absentmindedly run towards him. Faster. And faster.

His phone slips through his fingers and clatters onto the concrete.

I turn my head as a bright light shines onto my face.

Then it's all black.
