Masons P.O.V
I clench my arm as I quickly turn the corner. "Mason!" His menacing voice makes my skin tingle.
I look down at my arm, blood runs down my white long sleeve shirt. The shirt is a crimson red.
I inhale sharply as another wave of pain goes through me. "Mason..." His voice is getting closer and closer, but I'm afraid I can't go on.
Why me? I think as I hear his footsteps falter as he approaches me.
"Why are you doing this?" I say as I glare at him, slightly wincing as the bullet inside my arm slightly moves as I try and raise my arm.
"Mason, she makes orders and I follow them." He says a sadistic smirk spreading over his face.
I clench the cold gun in my unharmed hand. Blood slowly runs down my arm.
"It'll be quick." His eyes are the same color as mine. A chocolate brown. "I promise."
"No!" I yell and quickly raise my gun. Tears well up inside my eyes as my breathing becomes uneven. "No," I whisper as hot tears roll down my cheeks.
"I knew you'd be just like him!" I say, I'm now panting. I sway to the left, feeling lightheaded.
"Me?" He says scoffing. "You're the one who killed an assassin. Honestly, If you were to be like dad," He looks up at me, tears in his eyes. "You wouldn't be so bad."
I gasp for air as the corners of my vision go black.
I can't pull the trigger. I just can't. He's my brother. The only family I have left...
I blink multitude times, trying to clear my vision.
"Do it." I say just above a whisper.
'W-what?" I hear shock laced with his voice. "Do it." I say a bit louder.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you did." I say a chuckle leaving my lips.
"Do it!" I yell while I sob. Pathetic sounds leaving my mouth as my voice fails to speak again.
"Just do it." I say.
I look up at him a smile on my face. "Are you scared to shoot me?"
He doesn't respond instead he stares at me. "What? I'm just your brother. Right? That's all I am to you."
I grab his wrist and place the silver gun in his hand. I gently wrap his fingers around it.
I tilt my head to the side as I wrap his finger around the trigger.
"Do it!" I yell harshly pushing the gun against my chest. "Do it." I say staring right into his eyes.
"I-I can't." He says a tear rolling down his cheek. "Just do it or Abby'll be mad at you." Another smile spread over my face. "Oh wait, I forgot. How rude of me." I chuckle. "She doesn't care about you."
"She does care about me! She doesn't care about you! That's why she left you!"
"Oh," I laugh and look at him. "No, I broke up with her." I say carelessly.
"You-" He's interrupted by sirens filling up the eerie alley. He frantically looks around, scared.
"Do it!" I push the gun into my chest. "Then run!"
He looks at me, hesitating.
Then he pulls the trigger, I fall to the ground unable to bear the pain. The bullet sends waves of pain through my body. A scream escapes Nates mouth. A scream that makes your blood gurgle.
I clench my chest as I clench my jaw shut, screaming into my mouth. "Mason!"
I hear Nate scream followed by his footsteps faltering farther into the alley.
Then everything goes black.
