It's been two weeks since I last seen Ethan. The nurse calls in everyday, letting me know he's recovering.
It'll take a while for him to fully recuperate but he'll be fine. Liam's officially a month old.
He wakes up crying. Again. "Liam, todays the day you get to see daddy again." I say even though he can't understand me.
Just then my phone rings, I smile down at Liam before answering the phone without looking at the caller. "Hello?"
"Is this Mason Vulfure?" I pick up Liam and hold my phone between my ear and shoulder blade.
"Yes, why?" I ask laying Liam down on the bed. I reach for Liams clothes, "We need you to get to the hospital as quickly as possible!" Then the unknown caller hangs up.
I look down at my screen and realize it was the hospital.

I run into the hospital, overwhelmed by fear I scream out of panic as I struggle to carry Liams car seat with me. "Nurse!" I yell to a nurse walking by she quickly turns and eyes me. "Here!" I yell as I hand her Liam.
I run past her she gasps out of shock and holds Liam. I run into Ethans room, gasping for air.
Ethan smiles at me, a nurse is checking the monitor before smiling back at me. "He's back." She says.
Tears well up inside my eyes, I cry tears of joy as I sink to my knees.
The hard floor sends shudders up my body. My body shudders violently as I'm overwhelmed by happiness.
I sob, unable to contain my happiness. The nurse tries to quell me down by rubbing my back.
I try wiping my tears away but they're just replaced by more of them. I try standing but collapse onto my knees again.
The nurse that I handed Liam to enters the room and hands me Liam. Liam is crying as the nurse gently hands him to me.
I hear Ethan sob as I stand up, Liam grips onto my white shirt. I use the palm of my hand to wipe my tears away as I carry Liam towards Ethan.
Ethan immediately holds him as I wipe my hands on my pants.
"I'm here." Ethan says holding Liam close to his chest.
"And I'm never going to leave."
