I walk into the living room, throwing my jacket onto the couch. "Mason?"
No response.
"I'm back!" I yell. My voice echoes through the house. I pull my phone out of my pocket and turn it on.
Three missed calls and twenty-three messages. I nervously open up the messages.
Ethan I'm going to be at the hospital. Abby is having a lot of contractions right now. I'll be home around 11:00. Love you.
I sigh and turn off my phone.

"Ethan?" I feel someone gently shaking my shoulders.
"Hmm?" I groan, slowly opening my eyes. I see Mason smiling down at me.
"It's official." He says, I rub the sleep away from my eyes and raise an eyebrow. "What's official?" I ask confused. He quickly turns on the lights causing me to squint in order to look at him.
"Liam is now part of our family." He says not afraid to see my reaction.
I don't know how to react. I knew it was going to happen but why so soon?
I force a smile and he smiles back at me. "Thank you." He says his voice almost cracking. He runs his calloused fingers through my hair and hugs me tightly.
"Thank you so much..." He whispers into my ear.
