I slowly open my eyes to see Abby, sound asleep next to me, a sudden hollow feeling in my chest.
I sit up, stretching my arms above my head. A huge yawn escapes my lips.
I stand up, waking Abby up in the process. Her eyes flutter open, "Sorry." I say just above a whisper.
"It's," She yawns, "Fine." She says rubbing the sleepiness from her eyes. She sits up and stretches her arms, the sweatshirt raises a bit, exposing some skin.
"So..." I say walking towards her and sitting next to her. "How'd you sleep?" I ask putting my hand on her thigh. She stiffens a bit but doesn't say anything about it, "good." She says smiling.
I stand up and walk out of the room, she follows behind me.

"Which one?" She asks scrolling down the rows of movies. I shrug and rest my head on the back of the couch. "Oh come on. Don't tell me you don't have a single one in mind right now."
"Okay, I won't." I say. Abby groans in frustration and puts the remote back on the coffee table.
"I give up." She says, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Fine." I say sitting up and grabbing the remote, "I'll pick one."
I pick the first movie I see, which happens to be a romantic comedy. "Oh, great. You had to pick this one." she says rolling her eyes.
God, she's a hand full.
I lean back, resting my head on the back pillows. Abby sits on the floor, resting her head on the seat cushion. Her eyes mirror the TV screen, her pupils are filled with moving colors. I can't help but stare at them.
"What?" Abby says looking at me. I feel myself flush red.
"Nothing." I say and look away. She focuses on the movie again, the colors coming back alive.

"Okay, I'm going out." I state as I pull my jacket on.
"What? Where?" Abby asks following behind me.
"Just going to go drink with a couple friends." I say and open the door. "See you later!" I yell closing the door behind me.
