"Are you sure you want to go home?" Evan asks as I eye the house.
I nod and get out of the car, "come on."
He follows behind me as I walk up the drive, walking towards the front door.
I can hear Carter and Ethan having an argument. I sigh and quietly open the door.
"We shouldn't go inside." Evan says grabbing my wrist.
"This is my house." I say harshly.
I open the door and step inside.
"You want to know how I feel!?" I hear Carter yell as I stand in the living room.
"I don't think the fact that Mason finally showed up should change our relationship!" He yells throwing his arms up in the air.
I don't hear Ethan respond. "I'm sorry that you don't like my harsh honesty! But, I don't care about your sugar-coated bullshit either!"
I stand in the living room, clenching the couch as I stare at Carter as he walks into the living room. He eyes me with a bitter expression on his face.
He scoffs and walks out of the house.
Evan eyes me, giving me a worried look. I cautiously walk into the kitchen, scanning the kitchen before finding Ethan.
He sobs as he covers his face with his pale hands. He looks worse than when I saw him in the hospital.
I sigh and quietly walk towards him. He sits down on a stool resting his elbows on the white island.
"It's okay." I say and wrap my arms around his waist, resting my head on his back.
He harshly shakes his head. "No!" He sobs and tears his hands away from his face. "It's not okay! I'm not okay!"
I can't bear seeing him like this. "And?" I say as I bury my face into his shirt. "It's okay not to be okay. I'm here for you."
I hear him sniff as he wipes his tears away.
"Um, I know this isn't the best time for this but, do you have ice cream?" I hear Evan ask, causing me to smile.
