After going to the loo, I took a deep sigh and scurried down the halls in mere frustration. I honestly wasn't all that sure why I was frustrated, but nonetheless it slowly faded away like nothing.

I passed by Lukas who gave me a brief glance, to which I smiled in return. He seemed to acknowledge this and supposedly tried his best to give me his own best smile back. To which it didn't seem to go that well and ended up being a shy, somewhat forming smile in which didn't reveal his teeth. And so then he resumed to whatever he was doing beforehand.

Then I passed by him, resuming to my own schedule. I was planning on going to sleep after reading a book that Yukina gave me: The Three Musketeers. So far I found it semi-interesting, if you were wondering.

-

As soon as I placed my book on the side of me, I laid down and stared at the ceiling for a few moments. Contemplating, very wearily, whether I should just sleep or not. I drifted off into the world of sleep soon after, not particularly realizing this, but I just let it be and let my mind wander.

Step. . . step. . . step. . .

"I'm hungry," someone said unconciously as they floundered upon the snow. Suddenly they flopped down, hitting themselves against the cold. The person curled up into a tight ball and slowly cried in hopelessness.

"Mommyyyy. . . daddyyy. . ."

Another choked sob.

"Help. . . someone. . ."

The figure sobbed louder.

"Help me. . ."

As if the world were cut apart, everything silenced.

I watched in the distance as I saw the poor small an shivering figure dying in the cold. I wanted to reach out and help, but. . . I couldn't. I wasn't able to. I can't. All I was able to do was watch from above, perched upon a tree, and waited.

The figure slowly stood up with this agony that clearly shown upon them. "Ow," they said. Then they limped towards the direction they were aiming for, only until they tipped sideways and fell again.

But they fell into the cold icy river, with barely any ice forming.

Of course they screeched, and then there was a light sploosh sound.

Whether was it out of fear or from concern, I tried to follow after them. Apparently I was able to jump from tree to tree, which was the only way I was able to follow after them. Eventually the poor kid ran into a rock, merely hitting them unconscious, and they proceeded to just float in the water and soon into their doom.

But I couldn't just let that happen. Like, why would I?

"Kid," I called to them, hoping they would hear.

"Kid." I repeated.

"Kid!" I repeated again.

They didn't seem to hear me.

The figure stayed limp the entire trip, occasionally, moving from one side to the other. They didn't seem to show any sign of waking up soon, but they still seemed to be alive, despite looking like a plain corpse with no sign of wounds or cuts.
