I laughed for a moment, but slowly shushed myself after a while.

"Why are you stacking cats on my head, Heracles?"

"Because it's fun. And it looks cute seeing those cats on your head."

I blushed for a moment, looking away. "Thank you for the compliment."

"Yeah." he mumbled, placing another cat on my head before napping on some stones nearby.

Just earlier, Sadik had recently introduced me to him. He was what they call "The Royal Napper" just because he never did what he was told, and merely solved all his problems by sleeping. He had a love for cats and had stated that he would like to be one someday, which intruiged me - and here I am, befriending him.

My gaze fixated upon the empty spot near the stones, and I hesitantly made my way over without disturbing him or the cats. As soon as I sat down, I gave a sigh of relief.

"So what do you plan on doing as soon as you leave the borders?"

I look over, seeing Heracles awake once more. He only had one eye open and didn't seem too interested in chatting, but he still did so anyways.

"Well," I began, trying to think it over. "I was planning on discussing the 'waging war' preparation with another kingdom that I am in close connection with. And if they agree, I would really hope that they'll follow along my plan to overthrow Fellsworth's emperor and imprison Luciano for manslaughter, or even more, execute him for his wrongdoings."

"Oh, Luciano..." Heracles mumbled, slowly sitting up in a groggy attitude. "I know him. He used to hold a truce between the other kingdoms. Ever since some girl disappeared or whatever, pretty sure she was important to him, he ended up killing his family to rule over and hunt her down. He became coo-coo in the head and stuff."

"Oh, I see."

I've never heard of that before. I supposed my parents were keeping those problems away from me, for my sake - but that didn't help at all. I already knew how cruel this world was when I realized I was adopted.

"Sorry about the tough life you must be having. Might as well stay strong for everyone's sanity, right?"

"...haha...yeah."

Honestly, if it were any deeper, I would have been breaking down like a crybaby would. But I'm not a crybaby anymore. I wouldn't go running for my dead mom, my dead dad, or even my dead grandparents. I wouldn't be crying about how I dropped my favorite doll on the carpet floor. I didn't cry when I went through torture and horrible things. So I wouldn't see why I would just... Cry.

So all I did was lean back and exhaled. The cats on my head mewed in discomfort as they started to tip backwards, so I regained my original position and slumped.

"Sorry about involving this war into your kingdom."

"It isn't my kingdom though,"

"I know...I just-"

"Honestly, I could care less about this petty war. The guy's desperate, we all know that. He's lonely, needs pity. He's making a big deal about some simple rejection."

"No shit." I laugh, my stress reducing in a slow manner. "I don't know what's up with the guy, but people have their reasons to do what they want, right?"

Heracles sleepily smiled my way, before slowly laying down.

"I'll watch the cats for you."

"What-?"

"Mistress (Name), quick! You need to visit the infirmary." said one of the servants, stalking towards me in a brisk manner. "It's urgent. Someone is requesting you."
