(Third Person POV)
"Mon chere," sang a familiar voice. Before (Name) turned to face the individual, a rose was gently placed in her hair. She smiled faintly when she saw the familiar Frenchmen in view.
"Hi, Francis."
"You look as beautiful as ever, princess." he replied with a flirtatious smile.
This made her own smile grow wider. It was normal for (Name) to feel flips in the pits of her stomach, just because of his evergrowing compliments.
"So, how's Matthew doing?"
"Oh, he's doing just swell," he answered her as he took her hands into his. "Are you alright? I'm sure you're journey was long and difficult, so it would be important to get your beauty rest!"
"Thank you for caring."
Suddenly, he moved a strand of her hair away and pecked her forehead. "You're welcome," was his response as he flashed another smile.
Since Yao was watching the entire scene unfolding before him, he didn't seem to focus on the meal that was cooking. When he looked down, rather quickly too, he finally noticed the meat burning into shreds and ashes, causing him to panic.
"AI-YAH! No, no, no!" he shrieked, turning the stove off and hastily placed the now burnt meat aside. It was already cooked, but unfortunately there was a large amount of ash-like substances around it. After a while of just standing there, he immediately sulked.
"I'm such a disgrace. I can't even cook a decent meal for a guest."
Silence.
Light footsteps were heard as Yao stared at his new failure. When it stopped, a hand grasped the plate that contained the burnt meal, and then brought it towards them. Yao looked up to see (Name) walking towards the closest table, taking a fork and a knife with her, and sat down on a seat.
He gasped when she began to eat the meal.
"N-No, (Name), you no need to-"
"It's alright. It's delicious," she chirped, looking as if she had difficulty swallowing the lump of meat that she had chewed on. Then she shuddered, but she brought a smile to her face nonetheless. "anything you make will not end up as a failure, Yao. Don't think that, okay?"
Despite the heavy guilt that was pushing onto Yao's shoulders, he still nodded in mere approval. He was very reluctant to let her be, knowing that she'd have to suffer the horrid food that she was currently eating. He sighed.
"(Name), really. You don't need to eat that."
"No!" she protested, acting like a child. "I want to. You can't stop meee..."
Then she started scooting away.
"Hahah, (Name) is still the stubborn young maiden I knew long ago," Francis cooed, wiping a nonexistent tear off his cheeks. "Who knew that she can still be cute after all these years."
"I'm not cute. I'm awesome-"
"NO! I'm awesome!" screamed a certain albino who crawled out from through one of the cupboards. "No one shall be as awesome as me! NO ONE!""Oh, hi Gilbert." said Francis.
"Does Gilbert usually do this nowadays?" (Name) asked, batting an eye towards Francis, and then towards Gilbert.
"Tch. Idiot," Yao mumbled when he saw Gilbert rubbing his elbow in pain. When Gilbert approached the meal, the latter instantly shooed him off. "Shoo! Shoo! You're no worthy of eating sacred meal!"
