Randy and Greg were my
buds in school
academically sound
total fools
they were the only reason
i stayed sane
girls ignored me
bullies came
but through it all
i kept a smile on my face
somehow
that was so long ago
i wonder where they are now
Tony, Bill, Art and Ray
my band mates
didn't know each other
brought together by fate
Billy was a ladies man
Tony was a little crazy
Art was the silent one
Ray was often hazy
we did our best to
groove a sound
the music sucked but we
became pals
haven't seen them since the 80s
i wonder where they are now
life's waves constant
beating on the shore
they sweep for a moment
then they are no more
i wonder every now and then
how their lives turned out
some successful,
some hit rock bottom
of that, i have no doubt
but life goes on
and we all manage
somehow
and maybe its best we
don't always know
where they are now
