people talk about the fire
that burns between two people
the passion
satisfaction
desire, that flames
that look in the eyes
that sets the heart pounding
the yearning
the disconcerting
the lovers game
that used to be us
but those emotions have faded
comfort, affection
a different direction
but its love, all the same
