i look at the stack of papers
against my printer's side
dozens and dozens of scribbles
ideas and poems that i tried
some made the final cut
some were rejected
some brought a smile to my face
some were simply misdirected
but somewhere in that mess
are the ones that eventually won
i have completed the challenge
my 200 poems are done
