old dude

i have never conformed

that would simply be

so fucking boring

people have always looked at me

as ...

well, perhaps a little

off the grid

i swear too much

well, that is an understatement

i embarrass dock workers

i tend to wear my emotions

on my sleeve

which to many

well, they find me a little

assertive

i just believe that we should

let people know if we like them

after all

how many people have kept feelings hidden

and then

sighed

as the one got away

i always speak my mind

and

i don't lie

now that is not to say that i always

offer the truth

i am not stupid

but

i will answer pointed questions

but

like i always say

"if you ask the question

you had better be fucking ready

for the answer ...

so think first."

i am laughing now

because

i remember the shy teenager

i used to be

now
