Dad and i were talking one time
about depression
seems like no one in our family ever suffered from it
we mostly had a beer obsession
"Billy boy," he would say.
"I don't remember anyone ever being depressed.
Maybe a little silly, too talkative
or what we called a little crazy, at best."
He laughed and finished his beer
"I think they just want to get high as an eagle.
I think depression is just an excuse.
To get good drugs ... legal."
