The Truth about Everything
We both wanted to know the truth. We didn’t come here for this but this was a good way to make it worth the travel. Ellie stopped Lucio before he started unblocking her mind.
“Wait, I want to know more before we do this” Ellie said standing up from were we sat
“What do you want to know?” Lucio asked teleporting back to his throne
“You said I was trapped in the otherworld, why was I trapped there?” She said turning to him
“You were trapped there because you may be the one of the most powerful Casters in history and your decision will change everything about your family” He said “And your mom was afraid that you will be more powerful than her”
“Decision, what do you mean?”
“Remember the Caster who claimed herself light and dark?” Lucio said “Well, you’re like her. You can choose”
“She really didn’t choose” She said “She had no other choice because half her family dies if she chooses one of the sides”
“Well that’s going to happen to your family too” He said
“Why?” Ellie asked
“After the New Order has been established, Casters and Incubi were treated like royalty. Both Light and Dark can be together now if they wish to.” He started
“What’s the problem in that?” I asked
“Well, when the demons arrived incubi became higher because they’re one of the ancient demons that granted power to mundane that ultimately created downworlders” He said “That caused the Casters wanting them to be removed from the phase of the earth”
“What happened” I asked
“When that happened, the Hunters protected the mundanes and tried to end the war that would make them extinct” He said “The Warlocks with the help of the Greats made a book that would end the war”
“What book?” I asked again
“This book was even more powerful than the infamous Book of Moons, they created it to make the Casters win because incubi are becoming more and more ruthless” He said
“It’s the Book of Night isn’t it” Ellie said “It was the second most powerful instrument other than the Immortal and Infernal Items"
“Yes, it can do anything, reverse anything with a price” He said “When that was used in the war, Casters became more powerful but the price was not fair”
“What was the price?” I asked tapping Sam's face to wake him up but it didn't work
“Casters in their respective families will have the one who can change everything” He said “Like your family Ms. Fraywood. You’re the one that will choose their fate”
“So why did Veronica lock me in the otherworld and how did I come back?” She asked
I noticed that she called her Veronica, instead of mom like at the gathering.
“Because if you choose light, all of the dark Casters in your family will die including her and she didn’t want you to have the chance to do that.” He said “You were put there so you can’t make the choice and claim yourself.”
“So what happened, how did she come out?” I asked
“When she was put to the otherworld, you came in. Before I put the mind block on you, I made sure that there would be a chance the she’d come out” He said conjuring a tray with tea on the table in front of me
