Christmas Miracle
Ever since Dan bit me I have been experiencing headaches and mixed emotions about it, even if I’m a Nephilim who normally doesn’t get sick. I am now lying on my bed on Christmas Eve and I hate myself for not moving, trust me I tried using the iratze rune many times but it won’t work. Ellie visits me everyday and just stays with me for hours before going to the library to search the Book of Nights for answers that we need. I tried to go to school days after the incident to just finish it before Christmas break starts but I just ended up spending half of the day with Maria in the school infirmary or clinic whatever it is called. So here I am writing on my notebook until something good happens.
Someone knocks on the door.
“John, it’s me Leian” She called
“Come in” I said weakly
She threw me a present
“What’s this?” I ask
“Your present dummy” She answered smiling. She was wearing a sweater that I bet she didn’t want to wear.
“Thanks.” I paused “Sorry, I didn’t get you any” I added
“Its fine your mom covered you up by letting me eat here tonight” She said sitting on the end of the bed
I opened the present and revealed a box.
“What’s this?” I asked opening the box revealing a sword shaped stele
“It’s your new stele” She said
“Thanks” I said
“I better get going, I have presents to deliver to others” She said patting my feet.
The room became dark again when Leian left. I hope I get another visitor or I will die out of boredom. It seems that someone heard me because someone ripped. It was Sam, his face covered in a happy mood and is wearing a blue polo, jeans, black shoes and Santa hat.
“Ho-ho-ho” He said
“If I can move I swear I would’ve killed you after you said that” I said smiling
“If you kill me, you won’t get your present man!” He replied with a hint of emotion.
“Give it to me already” I said
“Here it is!” He said handing me a box
I opened it and revealed something like a net. It’s a dream catcher.
“You won’t have nightmares anymore and I’ll have some snack too” He said smiling
“Thanks man, I’ve always wanted to get rid of the dreams that tell me what’s wrong with me” I said sarcastically
”No problem” He answered without recognizing my tone
“Can you get my phone and dial a number for me?” I asked
“Yeah sure” He said trying to find my phone.
He eventually finds it on my desk. He started punching buttons and ended up playing games.
“SAM!” I shouted
“What?” He sound irritated
“The phone” I said
“Okay who’s the number you’re looking for?” he asked
“Lucio Bareclaw’s” I said
“Lu-cio Bare-cl-aw” He said trying to find his name on my contacts
