"Lex! Get down here at once," I shouted. She turned her gaze to me with a not-so-happy expression.
"And who are you to command me?" her reply lacks passion. Same as her face that portrays nothing but blankness.
I'm now even wondering how did we tolerate each other's attitude. Ang alam ko lang,simula pagkabata ay magkasama na kami. Our parents are bestfriends, and that included us.
"I'm your dearest friend." I was supposed to annoy her, but my attempt fell in vain.
"That was so gay,"she stated. Walang anuma'y tumalon siya mula sa sanga at lumapag sa harapan ko.
That would never happen. I crossed the small distance between us and leveled my face to hers.
" I think you should visit the optical clinic. You might need an eye glass. Can't you see how handsome your Bestfriend is?Besides, if that would be true, million of hearts will shatter." After saying that, a soft hand touched the left side of my face and shoved it away.
"What do you need Lif?" she asked.
"Please go with me to the mall," I told her. And I don't need to guess her answer. She slapped me hard with a no. Sounded like the same Leen Xyriel Deverine I know since we were kids. Lazy-boned creature.
"Please, help me. You know you're the only option I have. Next Monday is--"
"Special because it's your monthsarry with that Mamalou woman," pagputol niya sa sasabihin ko.
"It's Jamie Lou ,Lex. I'll buy you apples." Uh oh, did I just make that proposition?
"Sure," she answered plainly. "But, you'll provide me apples for 1 month."
One month?I'm now giving her a questioning look. Yet, her expression never changed.
"Ok," I sighed in defeat. Wala na rin naman akong magagawa.
"Cool, wait for me here. I'll be back in 5 minutes," she said as she walked inside the house.
I smiled to myself and sat on the grasses while waiting for her.Mabuti at napapayag ko 'yon.
Maya-maya pa'y patungo na siya sa kinaroroonan ko. Sinalubong ko siya ng ngiti pero "Sasakyan mo 'yong dadalhin. Tamad ako magdrive," ang pambungad niya sa akin.
" Opo,mahal na prinsesa," sagot ko sa kanya.
"I'm no princess," she replied and smirked as she made her way inside the car. Yeah,I know, mas astig ka pa kasi sa prince charming pagnagkataon.
