LEEN XYRIEL DEVERINE

"He will understand," Dad muttered. He was not yet safe and I feel that the game is about to end.

Yes maybe, we build lies but that is only for his protection kasi siya talaga  ang number one na target ng mga Fernandez.

I stepped toward the couch and rested myself. He placed it to the table infront of me.

"Who is helping them?" It seems like I was asking it to myself. Hindi nila kayang gumawa ng mga ganitong bagay considering that they only have limited resources.

"Good question. Only a question but no solution," Flame replied with his sadistic smile. He wants everything to be unpredictable and I know it thrills his brains thinking how would this game end.

"It was no joke," Blue told him. Unlike him, Blue was well-organized and wanted everything to be in place.

"No evidence, and a few documents with missing pieces that only Van knows," napalingon ako sa nagsalita.

My heart ached a bit when he mentioned his name.

"But we're working on it,"his father said. Should it make us feel better?

I think they are discussing important matters that are too delicate to be shared.

"So babe? Are you okey?" Kieth asked as he tapped the upper part of my arm--the one that got shot.

"Fvck! D*mn it Kieth. You wanna die?"  I exclaimed. He gave me hearty laugh which made me frown at him. This man is a good friend of mine and life would be worse without him and everyone close to us.

"How about getting even? Jaimie is unguarded," Flame suggested with an evil grin on his face. No,no, even though I don't like the guts of that woman, she's innocent to this.

"Let her be," I responded.

"Too much of being kind. Do you think they have the same mind as yours?" He played with his pocket knife and begun slicing the apple, each in four parts.

"Then, what makes us different to them?" I said. He looked at me, disappointed.

"You know, we may have a good side. But deep down, we have our negative animalistic side which can make us do things that even a wild animal can't. We humans are worse than them. Because it was just their instinct that drives them to do bad things, but how about us? Savages, and we are to scared to admit that fact."

I thought for a moment and he was right.

"We still have a choice Flame, you may be right. But even an animal can be tamed with proper caring, how much more us?" Blue butted in. And before they start arguing, I invited them to eat.

I decided to go their at 'di ko napansin na nakabuntot pala sa akin si Flame.

Just as I was about to step inside the kitchen, a knife suddenly flew infront of me, which made me step back to avoid it from hitting my face.
