58. The Answers

"Ano ba talagang nangyayare?" I could clearly hear his anger from each words he speak. He has been like that ever since we reach home-- my Father's house. But I really don't know if he should know.

Wala namang sumasagot sa tanong niya and that made him mad even more.

"Dad? Ano?" he sorted on asking his father but no words ever came out.

"Nadamay ka lang kay Lex. She was the target, because of her family," Jille interupted. Napalingon sa kanya si Liam and the flame that speak of his anger is still there.

"Don't play dumb with me Jille. Alam ko ang nature ng trabaho ng pamilya ni Lex at napaka-impossibling madamay siya. If that's the case e 'di sana matagal na! Will you just give me all an answer? Alam kong may tinatago kayo! Kayo ni Dad! At ikaw Jille? You are not a fvcking maid d*mn it!" His voice echoed against the closed walls of our house. Mabuti at wala ang mga magulang ko rito. Only Jille, my 5 cousins and Liam's Dad was here.

Liam has been hysterical ever since we got here,cause on the road, Blue and I ignored his presence.

I really need Van's help now but even he couldn't be at my side.

Papa looked at me with sad eyes, I could feel his pain piercing down my heart.

I know this day would come.

And the wounds were still not healed. It was here in our hearts, the burden that we have carrying so long. The pain that keeps me sleepless at night.

The nightmare that made me tremble in sweat.

Will history repeat itself again? I can't afford to lose someone, not ever.

"What should we do babe?" Flame whispered to me. At the moment, I found myself thinking of what is coming.

"Answer me!" Liam demanded. He was holding Blue's collar now and I could see the twins restraining themselves.

I was about to speak when Flame suddenly disappeared beside me and the next thing I knew, Liam was on the floor with his lips bleeding.

He would never understand.

"Calm down idiot! Pasalamat ka at buhay ka pa! Mas mabuti nang wala kang alam kasi simula't sapul wala ka namang alam. Kaya anong pinagbago?" ani Flame.

He let out a very uncanny smirk that could make people stand back. But Liam stood up and leveled his gaze to him.

And I never expected his actions. Binigyan niya ng suntok si Flame sa panga. The other didn't see it coming kaya't natamaam ito na nagpahakbang sa kanya paatras.

"Not bad," Flame said. Inaasahan ko nang babawi siya but to my suprise he didn't.

"Pasalamat ka, andito si Xyriel. Cause if not, I would take pleasure beating you till you beg." It sounded like a threat, but I know he mean it. Naglakad na siya papuntang kusina.

"So you are all scared of that woman?" Liam started again. And this time, he was at pointing me. That was the moment where the twins stepped in.

"Let it go Liam. Your father will explain everything to you," Chance told him.

"Lif, please understand this," Dad started. "Nobody wants this mess pero wala na kaming magagawa. Nandito na 'to. Jaime's mom want you dead."

"What? Anong ibig mong sabihin?" He seemed to be shock and was on the process of digesting each word his father just said. But that was only a small piece of the puzzle. "Dahil ba sa iniwan ko ang anak niya?"
