Chapter 74~The better kid

Ricky Pov

Fantastic, I knew this was gonna happen and this is why I didn't want to let Mason meet Sarah.

"Sarah plays piano." Ben says and Aviva rolls her eyes. "Well John plays drums, Delilah plays french horn, and Mason plays sax." Amy says and i roll my eyes.

"Sarah!"

"Mason!"

Both Amy and Ben call out at the same time. "Yes.?" They both answer. They go into this big thing asking the music, and school related questions.

"I have a feeling this is going to be a my horse is bigger than your horse scenario. You wanna go get coffee?" Aviva asks me and I nod smiling. We leave without them knowing and we go out.

Amy Pov

I can't believe he left...WITH HER! Who am I kidding we were annoying the hell out of them.

"Ben...don't. This could be good maybe we needed a chance to talk." I say as he's about to call Aviva.

"Yeah...we should talk." He says sitting down and sighing.

"Ben, I just wanted to say I'm sorry..." I say look at him. "Me too Amy...." he says smiling softly.

"I'm sorry for ruining your life, and making you out to be such a bad guy." I say and he furrows his eyebrows.

"Amy, you didn't ruin my life. I ruined my life being so obsessed with you." He say laughing. "What do you mean your were obsessed..?" I ask laughing.

"Amy, I practically forced you to kiss me in the hall and then Ricky punched me." He says laughing and so do I.

"Yeah.....Ben id like if we could remain friends." I say and he smiles. "Were friends Amy." He says and we hug it out.

"You had some pretty smart cute kids Amy." He says laughing. "Thanks Ben, so did you and Aviva." I say and he smiles.

"Aye you two finally made up!" Ricky says walking in with Aviva smiling. "Yeah we did." Ben says and I smile softly.

Mason Pov

"Cmon Mason let's go outside!" Sarah says pulling my arm. "Alright alright." I say laughing and following her out.

"Can you climb the swing?" She asks and I laugh. "Can I climb the swing? Hell yeah I can climb the swing!" I say and her eyes widen. "You said hell." She says and I laugh. "Were nine hell is not the worst word I know." I say and she laughs.

I climb and she climbs too. She sits besides me and we watch the cars go by on the street.

She holds my hand I and I hold hers back. She looks at me smiling and I look at her weirdly. She leans in and I keep backing up, but she keeps coming closer.

I go down the swing set and o see john. "Thanks GOD john!" I say jumping on him and he grabs me.

"She tried kissing me." I say and he laughs hard. "Goodnight Sarah I came to pick up Mason. Your parents are inside bye." John says and I laugh.

"Uh John, can you help me down?" Sarah asks and he laughs. He helps her down and we're on our way.

"Dude she tried to kiss me!" I yelled and John laughs. "Who tried to kiss you?!" My mom yells walking in.

"Sarah did!" I yell and she laughs. "Right." John says laughing along with her. "Ricky did you hear this, Sarah tried kissing Mason." My mom says and my dad starts laughing.

"I don't like Sarah! I mean yeah as a friend but I wouldn't kiss her!" I yell and my mom smiles. "Maybe you should tell Sarah that." Hmm maybe I should.

Amy Pov

I walk into Johns room, after the kids have gone to bed and find Ricky sitting on the sofa bed reading.

I clear my throats and he still doesn't look up. "Uhhhh eerrrm!" I say clearing it louder. "Yes?" He asks placing the book on his chest.

"I'm kinda cheesed at you." I say and he laughs. "Why are you cheesed what did I do?" He asks laughing.

"You went out with Aviva without telling me." I say and he laughs. "Amy it was only for coffee babe." He says and sigh. "I know but like...I dunno." I say sitting on the blowup mattress.

"But like you still don't trust me?" He ask and I sigh. "Come let's go talk on the roof." He says standing up and I follow him.

"It's not that I don't trust you it's that, I've worked so hard to get us where we are in out relationship and I don't want to lose this or god forbid you." I say and he smiles softly.

"Amy, I'm not going anywhere...I'm forever with you." He says kissing me gently.

"You promise?" I ask and he smiles. "I pinky promise." He says kissing my nose and I giggle.

"No Amy don't giggle please." He says sighing. "Why...do I sound weird when i giggle?" I question stepping back.

"No you sound to good, and I can't control myself when you do." He says squishing his body against mine.

"I love you Ricky." I say hugging him tightly. "I love you Amy." He says hugging me tightly back.

We walk back inside and sit on the sofa bed just talking for hours...until there's a knock on the door at around 3am.

I open the door with Ricky behind me. Behind it is a police officer. "I'm sorry to inform Grace and Jack Pappas have been badly hurt in a severe car crash." They say and I immediately turn around and hug tightly onto Ricky.

"And their son...?" Ricky asks and I grip tighter onto him. "He's fine, he was with Kathleen. But her baby she was pregnant with is in serious condition." The cop says and I sob as Ricky holds me tight against him.

"Thank you." He days after the cop gives us the hospital they're at.

"John watch your brother and sister." Ricky says and I see him nod and look at me with sad eyes.

We get to the hospital and we just all look at each other with sad eyes.

"Amy can you take Nathan please?" Kathleen asks her voice hoarse. "Yes. Cmon let's get you home hun." I say grabbing his small helpless ten year old hand.

Me and Ricky let him stay in johns room and we sleep on the floor in blankets.

"Shh, shh it's gonna be okay." Ricky says attempting to make me stop crying.

"R-R-Ricky." I sob out clinging to him. "Shhh I'm here baby. Your okay, everything's going to be okay I promise." He says rocking me gently against him....

Ahhh what did I do! Goodbye guys see you on Friday which is a teacher work day do no school😁
