"Mom, it's 5:00 you gotta wake up." John says and I groan. "Look I know it's gonna be hard without dad, but I'll help mom I promise." John says and I smile.

"Thanks honey, but moms gotta do this to better herself. But I love you so much. Now go get some more sleep." I say kissing his cheek and he smiles walking off.

It's been a week without Ricky and it was easy cause it was Christmas break but now it's back to the grind, so it might be a challenge.

I hop into the shower and get myself ready for the day.

Ok 6:30 we're good for time. I run out to the kitchen and see John made everyone lunch.

I make some eggs and bacon, and wake up the kids.

"Ok I'm gonna take Moose for a quick walk, John see to it that they get ready." I ask and he nods chuckling.

I make it back and everyone's ready. "Thanks John." I say and he nods smiling,

"Ok to the car!" I say and they rush out. "Alright bye John." I say dropping him off first and he smiles getting out. God I remember Grant so much. Driving by it always makes me feel fuzzy.

"Mom you need to come in with me." Mason says and I sigh. "For?" I question and he groans.

"The principle wants to speak with you." He says and I let out a breath before getting out of the car.

"Hi miss Juergens-" the principle says and I laugh. "Underwood." I correct and he chuckles. "Sorry, didn't know you and your husband were together." He says and I cock my head in confusion.

"Anyways we have discuss your sons marks." He says and I sigh.

'You're good you can come a little later, they're having an internet safety workshop/assembly the whole morning. If you need I'll cover-Matty' the text on my phone says.

'Thanks Matty, luv ya-Amy' I text back before walking into the principles office with Mason.

"Your sons failing, well he can't really fail grade school but, his marks are very low." His teacher says and Mason crosses his arms.

"May I see these test marks please?" I ask and they hand me it. "Huh that's funny." I say with a ironic laugh and the principle furrows his eyebrows at me.

"These are all correct." I state and Mason smiles up at me. "I'm the teacher here, and now they're not." His teacher states and I laugh.

"Really? Cause I'm a teacher as well and these are correct." I say and the principle gives the teacher a hard look.

"Well regardless if they're all right, he's not following the steps I taught." She says crossing her arms and I laugh. "Right, cause he's doing it the way I taught him. I don't know if you know this but, she's teaching at a very high level for these kids. Some of the stuff they're learning I'm teaching to my grade 10's." I retort and the principle crosses his arms.

"Mrs.Feltz is this correct?" He asks and she shakes her head. "No obviously not." She says and the principle sighs seeing the lie in her face.

"Mrs.Feltz we will have a conversation at the end of the day. Mrs.Underwood you may take Mason to class." He says with a nod and I leave.

"You can go now mommy, I can go by myself." He says and I laugh. "I'll walk you up baby." I say and he smiles grabbing my hand leading me.

"Okay bye mommy!" He says and I give him a kiss. "Bye Mase." I say with a smile before walking out.
