Chapter 34
“C’mon! There’s a scene at the cafeteria. Tignan natin dalian mo!” sigawan ng ilang mga kaklase ko ngayon sa kakatapos lang na klase ko. May bigla kasing sumulpot na babae’t sinabing may kung ano daw na nagaganap sa cafeteria. I even heard Tyrone’s name.
At first, di ko na lang pinansin. For sure may kung ano nanamang kalokohan silang ginagawa kasama sina Andrew pero for no reason parang gustong gusto talaga akong dalin ng mga paa ko dun.
And little did I know, yea, nandito na ko sa may pintuan papasok ng cafeteria. Kaysa tumunganga ako dun sa labas pumasok na ko.Tsaka nagugutom na rin naman ako. Edi tamang tama. Yun nga siguro ang ipinunta ko rito.
Okay fine. Excuses mo Wynah benta. :3
Naglakad na ko papunta sana ng counter to order my foods ng may narinig akong nagsalita.
“Why are you doing this to me Tyrone?”
I was stunned. Napalingon ako sa pinanggalingan ng boses na yun.
Si Sophia. S-she’s crying, in front of Tyrone..
Nakita kong nakatungo lang si Tyrone habang inaalog alog siya ni Sophia sa balikat.
O-kay. Heartbeat, chillax. Keep calm please. Kinakabahan ako. Parang di ko kayang makita ang mga mapapanood ko.
“Not here Sophia.” I heard Tyrone said.
“NO! I’ve been asking you for a lot of time kanina pa pero hindi mo ko sinasagot. Now tell me, WHY ARE YOU BREAKING UP WITH ME?! I don’t care if I’m making a scene here. I just want you to answer me. Please? I don’t want to break up with you. I love you so much.” She said almost beg. She’s not like that. I mean, di siya ganyan ka brassy to make a scene lalo na’t maraming pares ng mga mata ang nakatingin sa kanya.
She’s so kind and quiet person. Is this the effect of heartbreak?
Seeing her doing that gives a lot of pain here inside me. Guilt strikes me, big time.
“B-but, I don’t love you. I mean, I tried to love you the way you love me. It’s just that, I only see you as my sister. I’m sorry.” He said. And with that nakita kong sinampal siya ni Sophia.
She even cried more. Even the crowd feels the tense here.
Nakakaasar sila. Why they can’t stop blabbering and watching them in this kind of situation.
Di ba nila kayang pigilan ang dalawa?! What the hell is wrong with them! Mga chismoso’t chismosa!
“All this time. Ako lang pala talaga ang nagmamahal. But para kanino yung mga saya na nakikita ko lagi sa mga mata mo? You look so in love. Tell me, who is she?” she asked almost a whisper behind her sobs.
It pained me. My best friend is hurt and I know I’m the one of the people at fault.
I shouldn’t call myself her best friend. I’m a traitor.
Nararamdaman kong umiinit na ang sulok ng mga mata ko. Sht. Don’t cry Wynah. Stop that tears! Dmn it!
Nagulat ako ng biglang may mga kamay ang umakbay sakin. Napaangat naman ako ng tingin sa kanya.
As always, Gino is always there whenever I feel like crying.
Yung ngiti niyang ang dali daling magpakalma sakin.
I feel like I have another brother beside me.
“Wag kang umiyak. Sige ka. Kakalat yang mascara mo.” He said. I just pouted.
Alam ko namang gusto niya lang pagaanin ang loob ko. “Smile Wynah.” Nakangiting sabi niya sakin.
Nakakahawa talaga ang mga ngiti niya swear. Like now, I just feel like smiling. Mahirap pero pinilit kong ngumiti.
“Yan, mas maganda ka pag nakangiti.” He said as he pinched my cheeks.
Maya maya’y nakita ko si Gino na napalingon sa paligid niya. Surprise reaction is evident on his faces.
So I did the same thing.
L-lahat sila. Nakatingin samin. Even Tyrone and Sophia are looking at me. “W-what the hell is going on.” I muttered.
Gino patted my head. “I think this is it. Be ready. Pero kung di mo na kaya. Nandito lang ako Wynah.” He said and left the cafeteria leaving me there dumbfounded.
What does he mean by that?!
“I knew it.” I heard Sophia said.
Pain, disappointments, anger and twinge is all written on her face.
Di ko na alam ang nangyayari. Okay. Sino nga bang niloloko mo Wynah. Alam nating alam ko kung ano na ang nagaganap ngayon.
Oh my God. Kinakabahan ako. And my knees are getting weak.
“Yes. I love her. Ever since we’ve met.” Tyrone said. And with that, I heard the commotions of the students who are watching them, I mean, us. Kasali na nga pala ako sa scene.
Marami ang nagbubulung bulungan and I also saw surprise on their faces.
“H-how about you Wynah?” she asked me. Mugtong mugto na ang mga mata niya. And with those eyes, parang nagmamakaawa siya saking sabihing, ‘Please don’t tell me that you also love him’
Tumungo ako saglit then huminga ng malalim. I swallowed a lump on my throat. Oo para talagang may bara sa lalamunan mo kapag pinipigilan mo ang sarili mong umiyak.
This is it. Be ready.
“I’m s-sorry Sophia. I also love him, with all my heart. I’m sorry.” I said. Mas lalong lumakas yung commotion sa loob.
Ikaw ba naman malaman mo na ang dalawang taong ang turingan sa isa’t isa’y magkapatid and to think stepbrother mo pa, sasabihin mong mahal mo?! Dmn it. Dmn it. You don’t understand us!
Sophia gave us a bitter smile.
“My best friend and my boyfriend stab me behind my back. So sweet, that I can die.” She blankly said to us. She wiped the tears stream to her cheeks again and gets her things from her table.
Before she leaves the cafeteria she said something, “I hate both of you. And I know, it would really be hard for me to forgive you. But don’t worry I wouldn’t do anything stupid like harming both of you. Just for now, No, I mean starting for now, I will not care. Ever.” She said and finally left the cafeteria.
And with that tears finally escaped from my eyes, “My best friend left and hates me.” Tyrone immediately came beside me and hugged me tightly.
“I’m sorry Wynah.” He said.
I looked at him. “It’s okay. As long as I know that we’re both fighting, everything will be alright.” I sadly said.
He hugged me more tightly. “Yes, pareho tayong lalaban Wynah.” He said. Tears flows my eyes again as i smiled and hug him back.
“I love you My prince.” Sabi ko sa kanya habang nakayakap kami sa isa’t isa.
“I love you My Princess.” He replied.
“BOTH OF YOU ARE DISGUSTING.”
